@David Trammel I’m with you still continued learning. A few thoughts based on what I’ve learned. first off—what you are doing with your "OldGPT" and "NewGPT" agents is awesome! You’ve basically built your own multi-agent editorial team using pure logic and copy-paste. for a writer, that is such a brilliant way to handle research and drafting. Since you’re already producing 9 to 12 ⁠.md⁠ files per chapter, you are actually 90% of the way to an Obsidian setup without even realizing it. The good news? You don’t need to know GitHub, and you don’t need to learn a lick of code. Think of Obsidian less like a "tech tool" and more like a clean, beautiful set of glasses to look at the exact folders you are already creating on your computer. Since you're on Chapter 3 and heading toward 18 chapters, here is the friend-to-friend advice on how to integrate this so your minions don't lose the plot (literally) as the project grows: 1. Watch out for the "Context Wall" the AI will eventually hit a memory limit. It will start getting sluggish, hallucinating rules, or totally forgetting details from Chapter 1. 2. Lock down the "Book DNA" Take that awesome schema extraction work you’re doing right now and paste it into one single markdown file on your computer. Call it something like ⁠Master_Schema.md⁠. This holds your world rules, character bios, and style guide. 3. Spin up fresh chats for new chapters When you start Chapter 4, open a brand new, clean chat with your AI Chief of Staff. Start the chat by pasting your ⁠Master_Schema.md⁠ file and saying: "Here is the DNA of my book. Today, we are focusing entirely on Chapter 4." This keeps the AI incredibly sharp, focused, and fast, without the heavy baggage of the old chat dragging it down. 4. Let Obsidian do the heavy lifting If you open your book folder inside Obsidian, you can use simple double brackets while you write, like ⁠[[Character Name]]⁠ or ⁠[[Chapter 1]]⁠. Obsidian will instantly link those files. If you're writing Chapter 5 and need to remember what happened in Chapter 1, you just hover over the link and a little preview pops up. No digging through files required.
