I loved reading through all of your answers on my last post. Keep them coming! I thought it would be fun to start answering them one by one because I know if one person is wondering it... a bunch of you probably are too. Today's struggle to cover is... "I struggle with how to transition into selling or offering something from a post." Soooo, can I tell you a secret as a sales and marketing expert, both in corporate and in my own businesses? I used to overthink this ALL. THE. TIME when I first started in the online space. I'd write a great post, get to the end, and think... "Okay... now how do I bring up my product without sounding like a total desperate creep" 😂 Here's what changed everything for me... I stopped thinking about selling and started thinking about helping. To sell, you really don't sell. Here's what I mean. If someone just read your post because they're struggling with something, and you have a resource, product, affiliate link, or service that can help them... why wouldn't you tell them about it? You're not interrupting the conversation. You're continuing it. A few things that help me: Teach first. Give them something they can actually use. People are so much more open to your recommendation when they've already gotten value from you. Make the transition feel natural. Instead of randomly saying, "Buy this!" try something like: - "This is actually why I created..." - "If you want me to walk you through this step-by-step..." - "If you're ready to take this further..." See the difference? It feels like you're talking to a friend. Tell stories! Honestly, stories sell better than sales posts ever will. Share what you struggled with, what changed, and how you got there. Then naturally mention the product, tool, or resource that helped you in a CTA. And here's the biggest reminder... People can't buy something they don't know exists. And, if you're a business people EXPECT you to be selling something soooooo.... sell, girl. I see so many amazing business owners who are afraid to talk about their offers, and then wonder why nobody is buying. If you truly believe what you're sharing can help someone, don't hide it.
