Skool Vs. Facebook Groups | Let's Discuss
I used to use Facebook Groups for my clients’ communities. It was the go-to option back then and worked well enough. But once I saw what Skool could do, I realized how much we were missing. You can watch the video to see everything broken down by Alex, based on what Evelyn shared. What she described is exactly what took a lot of time and pain working with my clients. Here’s the short version: If you're planning to grow, Facebook will eventually slow you down. She points out how much time, money, and energy gets wasted trying to make Facebook function like Skool already does. Low post visibility. No payment integration. Chasing non-paying members manually. Constant support needs. No real help from the platform when it comes to growth. And then there’s Skool. You can actually reach your people. Payments are seamless. The platform brings in new members. Gamification drives real engagement. Members help each other without being asked. 👇 If you’ve used both, I’d love to hear your take. What’s worked better for you on Skool? Is there anything you genuinely miss from Facebook Groups? Let’s fill in the gaps for anyone still on the fence. Watch the video. It’s worth your time.

I keep a log of FB accounts or FB groups disasters. Also, FB does not care if you get locked out of your group by hackers. Hackers keepers, Losers weepers.

If I Could Start Over on Skool, I’d Do This First…
What do you wish you knew before starting on Skool? Whether you're running your own community or supporting someone else behind the scenes… What’s one thing you wish someone had told you before you got started? Maybe it’s a small tip that would’ve saved hours. Maybe it’s a mindset shift that changed how you show up. Maybe it’s a lesson you only learned the hard way. 👇 If you could go back in time, what would you tell yourself before you ever heard of Skool?

@Lara Sloan You may need an - easy profitable win (Maria M says so) - easy problem for them to ruminate on ( on the other side of the easy win) Those two things will keep your audience talking forever. Each new level needs problems. New Level -> New Problem -> New Profitable Win -> New Problem Those new wins will give them the dopamine hit they need to keep coming back, chat and stay. The dopamine and oxytocin rush bonds people in war, at work and play.

@Karen Anne Hope Andrews Also people sell all sorts of groups, and online businesses on sites like flippa (flippa.com). I have a list of 10 + similar sites that sell online businesses. I can post them here if that is ok.
