Cheap or expensive guitar
I'm curious the schools of thought on buying a cheap guitar and upgrading it to sound the way you want or paying the premium for one that already does, but also holds resale value vs the cheaper upgraded guitar you'll never get back what you put into it. I've always gone the middle of the road or cheaper and upgraded but I guess I see the value in investing in an instrument that may increase in value over time. What are your thoughts?
New bass.
Apparently I needed another bass. I'm not sure why this happened? I'm kinda confused myself. Especially since I've been looking at guitars for the last 2 weeks. I'll send pictures when it gets here

Rhythm or lead
When you first started learning what was your main interest rhythm or lead playing and what influenced you to it?

I only wanted to play lead when I started. The intricate challenging parts that impressed me and made me want to learn how to play I wanted to do that. Then I learned people were interested more in familiarity and less with technical intricate parts so I started learning the crowd pleaser songs. Now I enjoy it all. I play acoustic strum and sing "campfire songs" adding some fills that keeps me entertained and sometimes I'll throw in a solo here and there. I'm enjoying watching my son play now and teaching him the little things that I learned that helped me progress and watching him do the same.
Firstest Axe
What was your very first guitar? Mine was a no-name with a baseball bat thick neck

My first electric guitar was a 1 piece Kirk hammett signature series ltd esp. Bought used and I had to fix the solder connections, and the locking nut was off center until I had it fixed. But I still have it today. I think my first guitar ever was a First Act acoustic I don't remember. I also have no idea what happened to it.
His Mercy Is More guitar solo
Here's the solo from His Mercy is More by Matt Boswell and Matt Papa that I played for church worship a while back. Audio is bad I was playing through my Valeton plugged into a tiny computer speak right next to my phone. I usually plug in my iems to practice this is what I had to do to get it to come through on camera. 😂
