Sick??
I do want to wish everyone good health today. Between us we have built a new community a lot quicker than I ever expected. I spend a lot of time here promoting easy crochet for kids so I hope I can personally give you value for showing up. For click, click clicking likes, pressing on a Poll or sharing part of your day. And engaging whenever you have time, every bit helps us to grow. Starting a thread is so engaging here and directly helps me. Patti shared her WIP today, a lovely cardi, after 2 weeks of flu, we also had a rough virus when we totally hibernated for both Christmas and new year! And this last week Phil and I AGAIN caught a snotty cold. I wasn’t able to see my sister who is having chemo and beginning to lose her hair. Here’s a hug for my friend Emma, a member here is struggling a bit. Do post here if you want a hug, or give a virtual hug because there is so much sickness about… Again huggles and wishing you all well, Thanking you for being here when you can and for giving our mission your support. All the best Roz x🩷💞❤️💓💚💝💚🩵💛💓💜💕💙💓💕

Crochet for beginners
My 8 year old student started a bracelet project today . It took him time and focus to complete. The outcome looks great!

That will be great! It will help a lot. Most times I really want to involve more kids but the materials aren't available here. How much do they cost there? Infant the kind of crochet pin you recommended for me to use isn't available, I checked all the stores around but couldn't find any. If it's okay with you, would you mind checking for us the best pins and yarns. 😊
Why make variegated yarn?
Archie is making his first ever chain length. He is only 4. Does anyone have children who would love to do this? It’s very absorbing 💜💛🧡❤️💙

I do
Kids and shoe laces / Learning the reef knot
I teach a reef knot to my students because I find that making their own variegated yarn balls is fun and creates colourful projects.. I used to teach reception classes back in the day, and parents were encouraged to teach their 5 yr olds to tie a bow before they came to school. As remember I was forever tying shoe laces, but surprisingly most kids soon got it. So the reef knot is easier, just two overhand knots. When they can do it, making little rings for their fingers, plus a sticky gem is so much fun.
