I incorporated the council of you wise artists and eliminated the obstructed view boat and houses focusing only on the beauty of the view. I was hoping to take your eye down the lake to the sun kissed mountains in the background. Anything else to do?

@Paul Huntley I agree with @Robert Reichard , and also I would make trees in cloud shadow on the opposite side a bit cooler and slightly more saturated:

It will be great one 👍
First complete oil painting
For being my first oil painting I'm pretty happy. The water is definitely more green than I anticipated, and I'm not sure about the hilight and shadow on the mountain. But I am happy with the clouds. Comments are welcome!

I like your brush strokes and successfully painted shapes with simple strokes. Water is OK, lights and shades are missing everywhere. The sky is nice but too warm as for me

You learned how to catch the light 👍
Hi folks
After freezing winter cold is gone I may enter my garage and continue working on this landscape. This is my 6th painting. Not finished yet. I have been still correcting mamy things. I'm suppoused to add some ground below and a few things, maybe stones and fallen tree. But I hesitate, I dont know if it's too big risk for my skills, I may destroy this painting. What do you think?

Certainly some traces of mountain reflections should be visible on the water surface. But my eyes first of all noticed uniform shapes of trees, like plantation grown for Christmas which is OK if you want to show them like that. But trees reflections do not look right, many of them have wrong length and all of them are just repeating original subjects' values and hues. Reflections, as well as perspective, are all about physics and math. It depends on its position, which part of subject will be visible on reflection . In reflections darks are looking lighter and lights darker.
