A Reminder on Life, Death, and Hijrah
Asalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatulahi wa Barakatu Just wanted to share this reminder with you guys and I ask Allah to grant us a good ending that is pleasing to Him. Life in this world is temporary. We wake, we work, we strive, and we plan—yet every passing day quietly carries us closer to our meeting with Allah. No soul knows when that moment will arrive, but every soul is promised it. Allah reminds us that this dunya is a place of trial, not a place of rest. Comfort can distract us, and hardship can awaken us, but both are tests. True success is not found in how much we accumulate here, but in how sincerely we prepare for what comes after. Death is not the end—it is the beginning of our true journey. The grave is either a garden from the gardens of Jannah or a pit from the pits of the Fire. What determines that is not our intentions alone, but the actions we carried out while we had time. Hijrah is not only a physical move from one land to another; it is a migration of the heart. It is leaving behind what displeases Allah and moving toward what draws us closer to Him. Sometimes hijrah means changing environments, friendships, habits, or even ambitions—choosing faith over familiarity, obedience over comfort. The Prophet ﷺ taught us that deeds are judged by intentions. Whoever makes hijrah for Allah and His Messenger, their hijrah is for Allah and His Messenger. When we align our lives, our homes, and our efforts with the pleasure of Allah, every step becomes an act of worship. Before death comes suddenly, ask yourself: If I were to meet Allah today, would my life show that I chose Him? This dunya will end, but what you send forward will remain. May Allah grant us a sincere hijrah, a life of obedience, and a beautiful ending. Ameen.
