Dog Toys
Good morning Canine Gut Solutions Community!! I have a question for you! Where do you get your indestructible dog toys? My one dog loves balls and the others love regular toys. I want to buy them toys but it's like throwing money in the trash!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Here are a few of the culprits below

There is no such thing as indestructible toys. West Paw (https://www.westpaw.com) has lasted for an extended period of time. Traditional Kong has been good for enrichment, all of their other toys have been destroyed. Thick cotton ropes don't look pretty but they are still "together" after several months, Chuck It balls have lasted.
Let’s Talk About Your Dog’s Gut Microbiome
When it comes to your dog’s health, everything truly starts in the gut. The gut microbiome is made up of trillions of bacteria living inside your dog’s digestive system—and it plays a much bigger role than most people realize. What Does the Gut Microbiome Do? Your dog’s gut is responsible for so much more than just digestion: - ~70% of the immune system lives in the gut - Helps break down and absorb nutrients from food - Supports skin health - Plays a role in mood and behavior - Helps regulate inflammation in the body When the gut is balanced, your dog tends to feel and function their best. ⚠️ What Happens When the Gut Is Off? An imbalanced microbiome (also called dysbiosis) can show up as: - Itchy skin or excessive paw licking - Ear infections - Loose stools or inconsistent digestion - Gas or bloating - Low energy or behavioral changes These symptoms are often treated on the surface—but many times, the root cause starts in the gut. What Impacts the Gut? There are a few key factors that influence your dog’s microbiome: - Diet (biggest one!) - Lack of variety in proteins - Highly processed foods - Antibiotics or medications - Environmental exposures This is why nutrition plays such a powerful role in your dog’s overall health. How to Support Your Dog’s Gut The good news—small changes can make a big difference: - Add fresh, whole foods to the bowl - Rotate proteins to support diversity - Be mindful of overprocessed treats and foods - Support the gut consistently (not just when there’s an issue) Remember—this doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Even small additions can start to shift things in the right direction. If your dog is dealing with ongoing symptoms, it’s worth asking:“What’s going on inside the gut?” Because when you support the gut, you’re not just addressing one issue—you’re supporting the whole dog. 💬 I’d love to hear from you—Have you noticed any of these signs in your dog?Or have you started adding fresh foods and seen a difference?

Gut biome plays a significant role in human and canine health. Unfortunately with homemade gently cooked food we have encountered a significant constipation problem, to the point of having blood in the stool and our food driven dog has also started refusing to eat homemade food.

Both have are experiencing constipation. Nala has experienced blood in the stool and Lu is refusing to eat homemade food.
Yay!
I wanted to share with you all I just passed my certification course in the gut microbiome! This was not an easy course as it was made for the veterinary field but It was very insightful and helpful to go through and learn more about canine and feline gut health!!
Yay!

Congratulations
Dental Care
Hello folks! What you all do and use for dental cleaning? I’ve been brushing 1-2 a week and use some of the “cleaning toys” but is that enough? I’d like to hear more ideas and suggestions from others. TIA

April Recipe!!
Hi y’all! 💚 I had a little extra time this morning, and with the holiday coming up, I wanted to get a head start on our April recipe 🙌 This one is part of a 3-part rotation series—and I’m really excited about this because rotation is incredible for our dogs. Instead of focusing on perfection in a single meal, we’re focusing on balance over time (you’ve probably seen this buzzing around lately 👀). That’s exactly what we’re going to implement here—real, sustainable nutrition that supports the gut and overall health. ✨ Important:This recipe series is available for VIP members only inside the community. If you’re already VIP and want support getting started with raw feeding, I’m offering 1:1 consults for $150, where we’ll cover: - How to feed raw - How to prep - How to put everything together - Setting your dog up for success If you are not VIP yet but want to be sign up! If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m here to help! 💬 Ingredients: duck necks or beef short ribs ground turkey mackerel beef kidney beef liver fur or veggies For my VIPs: Comment below if you would like the recipe with your dog's name, age, neutered, and if you would like the consult to be guided on raw feeding. Bonus if you want to share the latest picture of your dog!
