Reporting Content Violations on Skool (Template Included)
This is posted in Skoolers, but I'm sharing here for those that don't have a community and are not in Skoolers. (And you guys get a template for an email.) I submitted a formal complaint to Skool about a former member who shared private mastermind and clarity call recordings publicly on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. These videos included other Skool members, some in emotionally vulnerable moments, and were posted without their consent. (So Gross.) This person had already been removed from my community for breaking trust in a different situation. This came to light after they were gone. I chose to file the formal complaint so Skool could review it for themselves. This violates several parts of Skool’s Terms and Conditions: Section 3: Access “Members… shall be for your personal, non-commercial use only” “You will not commercially exploit any portion of the Services” Sharing private calls publicly for promotion or growth is considered commercial use and breaks this section. Section 4: Acceptable Use Policy “You will not use the Services… for any commercial purpose” “You will not violate the publicity or privacy rights of another individual” “You will not copy or distribute any content displayed through the Services” Recording and republishing any content from Skool that features others, especially in a private or emotional setting, is a clear violation. Section 7: User Submissions and Content “You represent and warrant that you are the owner of, or otherwise have the right to provide, all User Content that you submit, post and/or otherwise transmit through the Services” If someone else is in the recording and did not give permission for it to be shared, that right was not granted. It also violates Meta’s content policies, which prohibit sharing private content involving others without their consent. (YouTube & TikTok have similar policies.)
