BTS from today’s content session 🎥
I wanted to pull back the curtain a bit and show you what actually goes into a client shoot — because what you see on filming day is only a small part of the process. Everything starts with our monthly strategy session. This is where we: ✅ define goals for the month ✅ decide what content we’re creating ✅ and map out what success actually looks like We also lock in our content shoot dates here so everything stays organized and intentional. From there, I build out a full content calendar inside Notion and start scripting anything that needs structure. For this client specifically: • we film 4 YouTube videos per month • plus a handful of scripted short-form videos So today’s session was all about batch filming — getting as much high-quality content captured in one focused block of time as possible. Before we ever show up to film: ✅ content is planned ✅ scripts are written ✅ and everything is sent for client approval So when we’re on set, there’s no guessing — just execution. Then it’s simple: Film → Edit → Schedule → Repeat Take a peek at: • screenshots of the Notion dashboard (grab the template HERE - use code SKOOL for 25% off) • the Google Doc I used to prep this session so you can see exactly how this looks behind the scenes 👀 If you’re trying to build your SMM business, this is the shift: Stop “just creating content” Start building systems that make content scalable Curious — what part of this process do you feel least confident in right now? Planning? Scripting? Or actually running the session? Drop it below 👇

WEEKLY CHECK IN ⚡️
What are we working on today? What are we focused on this week? I’ll go first — Monday started off with 2 content sessions for clients (which I love)… but ideally, Mondays are my admin + organization days. Realistically though — when what you're filming depends on the weather, so sometimes you’ve got to adjust and work around that. 🤷‍♀️ So today, I’m: - finalizing content + scripts for a client session on Thursday - getting organized behind the scenes - and locking in the details for our Client Attraction Challenge coming very soon 👀 Your turn — What are you working on today? What’s your main focus this week? Drop it in the comments 🤍

@Kailyn Smith Ooo this is such a good question — and honestly, a situation every SMM/service provider runs into at some point. First off… you’re not bugging. What you’re feeling is VERY valid. Let’s break this down: 1. Not wanting to use a scheduling platform. I’ve definitely seen this before. It’s not ideal, but it’s not a dealbreaker if they give you proper access and you’re still able to operate efficiently. You can absolutely schedule through Meta Business Suite if needed. The real question isn’t what tool you use. It’s: can you still manage this client in a way that works for you? Suggestion: upload content into meta business suite at least a week before so your client will have time to approve and request revisions. 2. Weekly meetings + creating together This is where I’d pause a bit. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with collaboration. In fact, if the client handles it properly, it could even make your life easier. BUT — your business should not be built around ONE client needing constant real-time involvement. That’s where boundaries and structure come in. You’ve built (or are building) a workflow for a reason: 👉 to manage multiple clients efficiently 👉 to protect your time 👉 to deliver quality services consistently Now, let’s talk about the bigger red flag: You mentioned: low budget + high expectations Unfortunately, this is a VERY common pattern in clients with low budgets. And one of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is: 👉 the lowest paying clients often require the most time, energy, and want control Not always — but often (liiiikkeeee 9/10 times lol) It usually comes from them: - having scarcity mindset - wanting to “get the most” out of every dollar - needing to feel in control of the process This is a character trait at this point, and are you really being paid enough to manage that?! Suggestion: Offer Monthly Strategy Sessions - present a monthly content calendar post session - send content for approval weekly. Maybe even offer bi-weekly check-ins - but this is still a premium service.

LET'S GROW THIS COMMUNITY TOGETHER! 🚀
I just turned on a 40% recurring affiliate opportunity inside Hollis Creative Academy. 👉 That means when you invite someone into the community, and they stay, you earn 40% monthly recurring income. No extra setup. No complicated links. You can simply use the “Invite People” link inside the community. 💡 Why I did this: The more people we have inside this space… ✅ the more perspectives we get ✅ the more we learn from each other ✅ and the stronger this community becomes I don’t believe in gatekeeping — I believe in building something together. 🚀 How to get started: 1. Go to the community 2. Click “Invite People” 3. Share your link That’s it. (I added a quick PDF walkthrough below if you need help finding it) 🧠 A quick note: Only invite people who are a good fit: - social media managers - creatives - freelancers who want to build a real business We’re building something intentional here — not just growing for the sake of numbers. Final thought: If you’re already here and learning… You might as well grow with us. 🤍
LIVE Workshop Recap: Clients, Contracts + Strategy
Thank you to everyone who joined today’s LIVE Workshop 🤍 (which honestly feels more like a hangout at this point… and I love that). If you missed it, we spent time getting clear on where everyone is in their business right now — from current client work to landing new clients and everything in between. We covered some really important conversations around: ✅ managing onboarding clients (and navigating scope creep) ✅ creating workflows that actually support client retention ✅ developing strategies for your clients• contracts + setting clear expectations ✅ building out your packages …and a lot more in between. I also attached my current contract for reference (for educational purposes only) — I am not a lawyer, and this has not been reviewed by an attorney. There’s so much more coming, and I’m really excited about where this is going. As always — drop your questions, share your wins, and keep showing up 🤍
