@Johnny Freudenrich Nice! Have they started sprouting yet?
Flora of the Week : Sorghum
Commonly used by passing through a mill for grains & bread, this Annual Grass has a couple of hidden facts about it. 1. Firstly, it can be used used for a form of syrup (in one of its variant species). Sugar crystals within their stems. By crushing these stems, a juice filled with the 3 main sugars can be found. This sugar can than be processed as desired. 2. Secondly, it can be utilized in a wide array of household crafts. - Fencing - Mats - Baskets - Paper - Even Fuel 3. Lastly, it can be a wonderful healer of the land. Aiding in Erosion reduction, crop rotation filler, soil covers, and carbon accumulation (both above and below the soil line)

I've grown some as a cover crop around my garden. It's easier to grow than corn and is beautiful too!

@Johnny Freudenrich I didn't... I just grew for a cover crop and beauty. I can see how you could use it as a broom for sweeping... or a fall decoration. I didn't have very much and didn't know how to process/cook with it. I'm interested in learning more.

@Johnny Freudenrich That's exciting to learn more about them. Crossing fingers mine grows well. It's been in the ground about 2 years, but it's still tiny. It's not producing nuts yet.
