Testimonial I have read Peter’s books many times, bought and followed along with the videos and attended a couple of zooms. Attending a workshop in person was not something I ever thought would happen, but when I found out Brendan was coming to Wales, I signed myself up before I had time to talk myself out of it. The 6 hour drive was hard but turned out to be the easy part. The 2 days were challenging for sure, but nothing good comes without effort, not even effortless power. I laughed a lot, and almost cried. I learnt a lot about myself, how I hold loads of tension in my shoulders and arms and how I relate to others. It was a privilege to be instructed by someone as skilful, genuine and funny as Brendan both in his art and in his delivery of the work. He quietly crafted a way to encourage understanding in a diverse group of people brought together by a joint curiosity with a high level honesty and integrity. No bullshit! So pleased I stepped out of my comfort zone and stayed to the end. The benefits will go far beyond moving myself and my golf club with more grace, sensitivity and ease - from the centre - with a more relaxed upper body - pelvis between the feet - becoming more aware of where down is and shifting weight effectively. I honestly feel lighter and happier and excited to keep training, re-read the books and watch the material with a new openness to the endless possibilities that can emerge from exploring this work. Thank you to all the participants for your participation and kind support - who knows perhaps we’ll meet again. Thank you Brendan - will keep you informed of how this transforms my swing. We’ve got lots of data on the ‘before’ so Sam and I will be able to measure the ‘after’ with Trackman and on Force Plates - early signs at home hitting into the net are good 👍 and the true value from the course in terms of how I feel is already ‘in the net’ so to speak. Ending Unnecessary Suffering reading/work Group
Hi all, so basically its pretty simple. I want to suffer less and grasp Peters teachings from his book "Ending Unnecessary Suffering" more deeply. I learn better or more when I am with a group of people holding me accountable and on track. So i am putting this out here seeing who is interested. The idea: I want to do this reading/working circle. It's an experiment lasting from 1st July 2026 till end of February 2027. We want to be done with the book by then, so we'll divide it into parts that let us actually get through it in that time. Beginning of the week we read a small portion of the book. We contemplate it throughout the week. We talk about it during our weekly meeting and contemplate it together some more. Then we read some more and repeat the process slowly working through the book. Hopefully learning a great deal from one another. Language will be English. I operate in Berlin time, so meeting times will be planned loosely around that, but exact slot depends on who joins and where you're from. Group size: max 10, but I'd rather have 5-6 people who really have the drive for this and want to work through it properly. Not looking for a big crowd, looking for people who take it somewhat seriously. Prior knowledge of Peter's work is welcome but not strictly required. If you're planning on doing the Consciousness Apprentice Program 2027, you're definitely welcome to join. Am I qualified to facilitate any kind of insight?Absolutely not! I am just as ignorant and suffer like you guys. But I am not aiming to facilitate a consciousness anyway. My goal is to hold a container where people who are interested in this stuff can engage with the work regularly.Authorities in the matter are the book and hopefully your experience. My history with Peters work: - 5 week fall workshop series - Participated in one ICG facilitated by a former Apprentice of Peter - I read the Book of Not Knowing - Tons of YT videos - Not enlightened So if you are interested in such an undertaking reach out to me! I'll figure out a schedule (weekly meeting time etc) once I know who's coming and based on where in the world people are from.

What comes after Whereof One Cannot Speak?
Just finished listening to this on Audible, I also have the book. Unsurprisingly it’s difficult to find words to describe it. It felt like Peter was reading my mind as he wrote, knowing what mischief my mind and self were likely to be up to as I listened and calling them out. When I finally got to the end I fell quiet and felt peaceful, if a bit beaten up. How do you follow that? I asked myself - I still have one - working in progress. The answer was loud and clear - ‘The Book of Not Knowing’ start all over again. Looking forward to listening to it for the umpteenth time with new ears and a better grasp. What a privilege to have Peter’s work in our lives. Thank you.
Did I actually get it?
Listening to Ralston on repeat. In ‘Whereof one cannot speak’ Peter explains at length how the self came about in the first place i.e. how it was ‘invented’. OMG it’s an INVENTION! I am an amazing genius body and the self is just an invention. That was huge for me - it’s an invention not who I am. My self has been driving me mad, getting on my nerves and keeping me awake for years. I felt an immediate drop off in the ‘racing’ inside aka anxiety and had a great sleep score last night with lower heart rate on my Oura ring. Years ago I remember reading in one of Peter’s earlier book something like - ‘once you transcend the self you won’t miss it at all’. Those words really struck me at the time - how could you not miss yourself ? It’s only day 2 but he’s absolutely right, of course, not missing my self at all. I ask ‘did I get it?’ as it doesn’t seem possible for it to really be that easy - why did it take soooo long? Who cares - let’s hope it doesn’t come back - I’ve put a bouncer on the door.
