Readers Love Double-Sided Fictional Characters
Perfect heroes and heroines should have character flaws As a fiction writer, you may be boring your readers to death with perfect characters who always say and do the right thing. Not to mention their perfect motives and righteous intent. Really? Is there anyone that fits this description on our planet today? Without flaws, characters have no opportunity to change, reaching for a higher moral plane. Without this learning curve, there is nowhere for a character-driven storyline to go. At least, nowhere a reader is likely to follow. Readers want to feel a whole range of emotions when reading character-driven stories. Emotions like dislike, disgust, hate, sympathy, liking, and loving. We'll dive deeper into this technique soon. Comment your thoughts below. Are you having problems with this?

A Little About Me
Hi, I’m Lynda — romance author, creativity guide, and cheerleader for every woman brave enough to write love into the world. I spent nearly a decade in traditional publishing before switching to indie and writing the stories closest to my heart. With five indie-published books and years of navigating both sides of the industry, I know exactly how overwhelming — and magical — the writing journey can be. My mission is simple: to help you write stories you’re proud of, build confidence in your voice, and feel supported every step of the way. If you’re a hopeful romance writer who wants a soft, creative space to grow, you’re in the right place. Let’s write some beautiful love stories together. 💗 We're new and just getting started. Lots more content to come! NOTICE: Intellectual property law covers all writing submitted here.
