I’ve been doing random things here and there lately. Today I watched videos on stem stitch and leaf and lazy daisy. So here’s my practice on those. This is so much fun!

So I was first practicing on scraps of denim because it was easier to manage without a hoop, but now that I have a hoop, I started on my tote bag. And I’ve made some cool stuff along with messy stuff lol yet I can not stop stitching. Through the process I realized how critical I am of myself and just keep reminding myself to let it be. And so here are a couple of photos of this process.

Hello community I'm sooo sorry I haven't been active on here the last 2 weeks. Me and my partner had to suddenly move house which has been very exhausting and chaotic trying to fit all our things in a small 1 bedroom place.... It's hard when you're a creative person and have heaps of hobbies ro find the storage for all of them! It does feel good to declutter and make space for new energy! I also have a big box of tapestries I collected whilst travelling so definitely not getting rid of those. My embroidery desk space has become smaller I will share photos soon hahah! I'm so excited to be out of a toxic mouldy home 🏡 Has anyone ever experienced mould exposure at home ??? Anyways I just wanted to say I am still here but a bit slower as I settle in and gain energy back to launch more exciting patterns and projects in this community !!!! My flight was a few days ago. I got to the airport super early, both out of anxiety and excitement, and so I had a lot of time to kill before my flight. I felt like the coolest person at the airport when I got my stitching out! It was such a relaxing way to pass the time, and also on the flight itself too 😊 It's been a few days since I've had a chance to get it back out of its bag as I'm settling in but I'm looking forward to learning the next stitch soon!

I made some time yesterday and today to practice the backstitch. The solid lines this makes are super satisfying. I've been stressed as I wrap up packing to move internationally, and having this simple little ritual has quickly become a very necessary time and space where I'm able to take my mind off of all the stress for a bit. I can't wait to see how my little ritual changes after my move!
