Hello singer friends! Sharing a video clip from an open mic performance I did last night. Naturally all the major mistakes have been edited out. 😆 We performed covers of 3 songs originally done by Miley Cyrus, Pharrell Wiiliams, and Keane. I've been working with Brian, the keyboardist, for about 6 months. We started doing open mics in March and we're learning so much from the experience. I'm just now starting to feel more comfortable in this vocally exposed kind of environment where you can't "hide" behind a full band. Hello fellow singers! I'm Lydia, and I'm on my lunch break at work, so thought I'd introduce myself. I've always enjoyed singing, but didn't start formal training until my 30s. (I'm sure I'd be Lydia Gaga by now if I started sooner. 😆) I'm currently in 2 cover projects, one a duo with keys player and the other a 4-piece band. Right now just doing open mics, but hoping to start gigging in the fall. I would have never gotten this far without @Ellen Smith as my vocal coach. ❤️
