Founding Members opens Sunday 15 November (join the waitlist)
The free course gets you your first game in an evening. So what comes next? Here's the answer. FOUNDING MEMBERS is a paid tier opening on Sunday 15 November. Inside, we build a full platformer together, step by step, from the first jump to a finished game on itch.io: - Plan it with Claude, and learn the prompts that keep AI on track - The Godot parts you actually need: movement, levels, enemies, checkpoints, animation - Art, sound and music, with clear rules on what you're allowed to ship - Menus, saving, a boss fight, and a proper itch.io release - Cutting a trailer and finding your first players You also get starter templates and written feedback on your game every month. PRICE: $29 a month, locked in for life while you stay. That's for the first 50 members only. After that it goes up. Cancel any time. WAITLIST: comment IN below. Waitlist members get in 48 hours early, on Friday 13 November, before it opens to everyone. Honest notes: the course is new, so you'll be among the first through it, and new lessons arrive at least every two weeks. Everything that's free now stays free. And if you haven't made Dodge the Demons yet, start there. It's the perfect warm-up. Luke

New game: The Dread King's Wilds (free, plays in your browser)
My new game is out: The Dread King's Wilds. A retro arcade platformer roguelike, built with Claude. 50 stages across 8 worlds, a boss every 5th stage, 5 hero classes, and the Dread King waiting at the end. Your vitality drains every second, so grab fruit or starve. Play it free in your browser: https://blackmountgaming.itch.io/the-dread-kings-wilds Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92lGCNZIBqk Post your best stage and score in the comments. And if you've made something, share it here too.

The free course is live: make your first game in an evening
It's done. "Your first game in an evening" is now in the Classroom, free for everyone here. 9 short video lessons. You'll build Dodge the Demons with Godot and Claude, from an empty project to a game anyone can play on itch.io: Module 1: what you'll make, installing Godot and Claude, and how to talk to Claude so it writes code that fits your game. Module 2: the player, demons, game over, score and difficulty, a title screen with a saved best score, and putting it on the web. Every lesson has a catch-up zip, so if you get stuck you can jump straight back in. Play the finished game: https://blackmountgaming.itch.io/dodge-the-demons When you finish, post your link in the Show your game thread. I'll play every one. Luke

Show your game: post it here
Made something? Post it here, even if it's rough. Share a screenshot, a short clip or your itch.io link. Tell us what you changed: colours, speed, a new rule. And one thing you'd like help with next. Finished the free course? Post your Dodge the Demons link. I'll play every one and reply. Here's mine: https://blackmountgaming.itch.io/dodge-the-demons

Wins: post yours here, any size, any time
This thread is always open. Post a win whenever you have one. Small ones count. Your player moved for the first time. A bug you fixed by pasting the error back to Claude. Your first demon on screen. You beat your own best score. Your game is live on itch.io. Wins keep this community going, and they help the next person keep going too. I'll start: the free course is finished. All 9 lessons are up in the Classroom, and Dodge the Demons is live on itch.io
