For me implementing consistency tends to be the biggest struggle. I'm a super busy guy, and while KB routines can be short, getting into and staying in a good one can be tough.

@Stan Jewula Yeah I've been consistently trying to get up earlier and earlier for this reason, and I'm up before 6 now. It's surprising how the earlier I get up tho, the earlier life has been coming at me lately. Maybe 5:30am will do the trick. I still manage to get my stretch routine in daily and blast out 50 pushups, ~30 squats and a few rounds of planking. Then it's off to the races.
Life Update + Exciting News
It’s been a CRAZY past 6 months (dad life, social life, and work life), but the work I’ve been putting in behind the scenes whilst being “quiet” here will be well worth it! The “Man Maker Mentorship”, a very intimate approach to 1-on-1 fitness and life coaching I’ve taken with past successful clients, is about to be launched. I’ll share more about how you can get involved in this early next week, and am happy to answer any immediate questions you may have, but just wanted to plant the seed today so that those of you who have interest in a more hands on approach with me can get first crack when it’s go time. Talk soon! #KeepFighting

Was wondering how you’ve been, Coach! Thanks for the update. As a single Dad who usually has his kids a week at a time, I'm really familiar with the effort you described to be plugged into their lives. You have to be really effective with your time. Good to hear you're doing well and moving into a form of coaching that will help you get others their desired results with your personal touch. Def gonna miss the workout videos.
Surviving Kids AND Fitness Goals
For those of you who have young kids and are struggling to balance being PRESENT parents while still being a good custodian to your fitness goals, here’s two things you can do that've really helped me out and I’m sure will help you too… (1) Give yourself grace and accept that sometimes you just have to perform an abbreviated version of whatever you had planned. As I constantly tell all of you, remember to focus on progress over perfection! …and (2) Put a single (or set) of weights in clear view of where you typically sit to watch tv, and allow them to taunt you into doing little micro workouts. This is a simple but effective psychological tool that when you have a list of say 5-10 little micro-sessions you can quickly deploy will yield big results in the long term. Idea here is that when kids give you small 5 minute windows to train in (say when they’re eating or playing by themselves within eye and ear shot), you can sneak in some work… These little micro-sessions may not yield the BIG wins that you were accustomed to before kids arrived into the equation, but they DO offer progress. Just remember, they may not seem like much, but SOMETHING is always better than NOTHING!!! Hands Up…KEEP FIGHTING!!! P.S. Thanks for bearing with me while I navigate my way through some family concerns. Things are going MUCH better of late and I promise once a few more hurdles are cleared, I’ll be back to daily contributions here..

@Scott Johnson Same. Whether for work outs, work, or parent related, there's a drill sergeant that lives in my head.

@Scott Johnson haha! If it is, your Dad sounds just like me being Dad to my little girls. I'm pretty no nonsense with them and don't tolerate much whining lol.
What Are Your Expectations Here???
Everyone that comes to this community does so with some type of goal…a vision for what they wanna take from it and what they wanna accomplish. Expectations if you will. Here’s the thing about expectations though. Expectations can PUSH YOU or it can POISON YOU… Set them too low and you could be selling yourself short. Set them too high and you risk chasing ghosts. Straddling the line between ambition and realism is never easy. Learning to balance those two can be very mentally taxing, but here’s the trick I’ve found best to manage that…. Because we all possess the tendency to have some sense of control in life, yet actually control so little, place your focus squarely on the two variables that you DO have dominion over. Your EFFORT and your ATTITUDE….All you should learn to expect is to put in 100% effort and have faith that doing so puts you in position to achieve your ideal outcome. Trust me, it’s a liberating mindset shift that will allow you to create a healthier expectation that tends to lean towards heightened ones given the self belief it WILL create for you. Hands Up…KEEP FIGHTING!!!

Love your wisdom of focusing on the things we can actually control. I think that's a good place to start when setting expectations. And I definitely agree there needs to be a balance; not too low, not to high... just right in the Goldilocks zone.
You’ve GOT TO learn this lesson to be successful…
There’s an extremely valuable life lesson wrapped into this strongman training video. And I’m not gonna spoil it by trying to give you the Cliffs Notes version of it here. Just do yourself a solid and watch this at some point today… Enjoy the weekend with your loved ones…They’re the ones that make all of these sacrifices you make worth it! Hands Up…Keep Fighting!!!
