Week 3 Day 6
WHAT DOES TRAINING FOR GODLINESS LOOK LIKE IN YOUR DAILY LIFE? I have to stop during the day and read Psalm 139 and Isaiah 61. I have to do the check ins here. I also need to implement a good practice of examen at the end of the day. Each question on this day had action steps for me. I chose to respond to this one- because I needed to spell them out and stick to them.

Week 3 - Day 5
WHAT IS ONE AREA WHEREYOU NEED TO TRUST GOD’SWORK THROUGH DISCIPLINE? My career (Emergency Managment) vs my business (Family Guard Fence and Deck Restoration). Am I where God wants me to carry out my purpose for his plan and the kingdom. The more disciplined I become the more clearer it will become that Family Guard Fence and Deck Restoration is where he truly wants me.

@Michael Mckee For me knowing my purpose and calling God has for me. Right now I am seeing that I can be more effective for his plan and Kingdom with my business. Even though, I think it would be better to for me to carry out my purpose and calling in the environment around first responders since that is where my career has been for the past 20 years. But because I am not the one in control, God is. I have to stay where I am at. This is where obedience and discipline are hand in hand. There are times for waiting on God to move and times for us to step into action. I can tell you, here recently I tried to take action in thinking I would be more effective in the environment around first responders. Because I could make an impact on two levels with the patients I care for and the First Responders I would be around. In my mind I was thinking there is opportunity for greater impact. But when God has other plans he will let you know. God will not open doors if it's not in the right time for one reason or another or if it just doesn't align with his plan and will. So for me right now, God has shown me my greater impact for the kingdom where my purpose will be more effective is with my business. Staying disciplined in surrendering and everything listed below is the reason why it is becoming clearer for me to trust him. Discipline for me is to be: Intentional in prayer all day (Asking questions, etc.) Intentional prayer to put him before everything I do, to invite him and the Holy Spirit to be there with me. Take him everywhere you go and put him in everything you do. Intentional reading Intentional Praise and Worship Saying Yes anytime he calls me to action (Buy someone a meal, Share the Gospel with a random person, etc). Remaining obedient to how he expects me to live (My Core Values). I heard this through one of Nathans Podcast Episodes when he had Garret who is a former Navy Seal. He said this about discipline "If you don't have purpose, you can't have discipline." So you need to understand and identify what your purpose is.
