That video hurts me! I realize that I'm a procrastination master!!! I try to change that with baby steps, starting with the miracle morning routine, no more five extra minutes in bed! I don't snooze my alarm and take the control of my mornings by doing my S.A.V.E.R.S.
Acquiring a Language
Watch the following video and answer these questions: 1) How do we acquire languages? 2) How did you start learning English in the past and how are you learning it now (mention the differences)? 3) How are you implementing listening in your daily life to improve English? 4) What is the biggest struggle you are having right now to improve your listening?
Acquiring a Language
1-How do we acquire languages? The best way is listening, it is the key to improving a language, but also we need a comprehensible input, this means understanding the message we hear or read, It is not just about listening, we need to understand the message 2-How did you start learning English in the past and how are you learning it now (mention the differences)? In the past, I tried to learn English repeating phrases and dialogues from books, sometimes I didn’t understand what they mean. Now I try to understand the meaning of what I hear and read 3-How are you implementing listening in your daily life to improve your listening? I am listening to podcasts (youtube) and dialogues (LingQ) at my level. And I try to keep a list at my lexo link of new words I don't know to learn them 4-What is the biggest struggle you are having right now to improve your listening? When I don't understand one word, I lose the whole message. It's difficult to me continue listening after that

We are going to be discussing about the issues of Deep Flow
Why do you feel that is hard to focus on studying English? Because sometimes I feel overwhelmed with many new words and information Do you have problems concentrating when studying English? Yes, Sometimes, I studied at the night, and I am tired because I work and study all day on the computer How can you improve your experience through deep flow? I try to take short breaks and study in a quiet place (this is difficult because I have 2 noisy border collies 🐕).
About Me
Hi!! My name is Luis, I'm from Guadalajara, Mexico (the land of tequila!), but now I'm living in Monterrey at the northeast of Mexico. I want to improve my English because I'm currently working at a small company in Los Angeles dedicated to organizing large events for the Latino community, like health fairs, conferences, grand festivals, toy distributions (our next event is on December 14th), and much more. My main goal with this journey is to speak confidently with my sponsors and lead work meetings with them. Fun fact: I live on Crisol Street, and we have a big crucible in the community park. In this place, they used to melt metals, including #GOLD, some time ago.
