[JOB] First start - Offshore Air Diving Positions (Saudi Arabia)
Basin Explorer is recruiting for upcoming operations in Saudi Arabia. ⚠️ Note from me: Caution! ⚠️ Let's be completely honest: these day rates are horrendously shit- I mean lower than low, and I do not condone people accepting them. Normally, I wouldn't even share an ad like this because these rates are so unethical, and as divers, we tend to reject these numbers even in desperate times to not bring the industry down. From my experience, standard rates in the Middle East are typically 50% to 100% higher than what is offered here. These rates genuinely invite a very very low tier of experience and desperation. The only reason I am putting this up is because I know a few guys in the community are absolutely desperate to get their first offshore start. If you are trying to crack into the offshore game, this could be the foot in the door you need—provided you can handle a few trips of poverty to get the experience on your logbook. If you do accept, look after your own safety, be meticulous with it. At least the client (Aramco) has a reasonable level of safety expectations and requirement and usually have a diving client rep onboard to make sure no company is taking shortcuts. Open Positions: IMCA Diving Supervisor (Aramco Approved) – Day Rate: 400 to 450 USD IMCA DMT Diver – Day Rate: 200 USD Air Diver – Day Rate: 180 USD Requirements: Duration: 2 Months Location: Saudi Arabia Must provide CV, H2S cert, medical certificates, and BOSIET. How to Apply: Send your documents via WhatsApp to +91 8530670533 or email: [email protected]

Can’t accept those daily rates, no one should even consider it… It’s disgusting and degrading our profession
Introduction
Hi everyone, I'm Josh a ADAS pt3 (IMCA SSBA 50m) Air diver working onshore in Australia. Glad to join the community here this is a great idea - thanks Jed! I'm looking to get my first swing offshore, i'll go anywhere and do anything - I've got 3 passports i'm trying to take full advantage of haha! Last year i did both BOSIET & DMT with this goal in mind and am doing more rigging tickets here in Aus to continue adding to my list which includes STCW, LF, DG, current medical, first aid/CPR/O2, confined space/work at heights and CO (chamber endorsement). Looking forwards to connecting with divers around the world! Josh.

@Josh Wyder first, where is the most popular part of Australia to get inshore/offshore jobs? Also if there is any particularity to know about Australian companies. Can you find a city where you go to work during the day and get back home at night or it’s mostly job where you need to move away? First I will look for inshore job, cause I don’t even know if I can reach offshore job with a working Holliday visa. I know saturation is a bit down in Australia, but even inshore daily rate is better than offshore rate in Africa… so…. The job is different I know but at some point money is important too
Great job
Hi Jed, thanks for opening this space.
