Easier to ask playtesters for gameplay footage now with Steam built-in Recorder
Steam added a new feature where players can record their gameplay with a built-in recorder. https://store.steampowered.com/sale/gamerecording?l=english Previously Randall mentioned how he collects gameplay footage for feedback from playtesters by asking them to record the game. I've been thinking of doing this too but my biggest worry was that many players don't have recording software and don't know how to record footage. But now that there is a built-in recorder it'll be much easier to ask that of players and will make it more likely to get gameplay footage from players. What are the most optimal way to validate your game and the customer? How early should you do it and where?

@Yahya Danboos I was wondering do I invite specific people to playtest my prototype. Do i put in itchio. Is better to have small audience and really listen to them, and if so how? Basically how do i know what to procccee with and how do i find the target audience.
