Jack admitted something to me that honestly caught me off guard. He told me that whenever he cooks pasta, he sets a timer for the water…not the pasta — the water. According to him, once the water has been boiling for “long enough,” then it feels right to add the pasta. No idea how long “long enough” is.He said it’s “vibe-based.” He also admitted that if someone’s watching him cook, he’ll pretend this is an Italian technique and say things like: “You don’t want to rush the water.” Apparently, he’s been doing this for years and has never questioned it. I don’t know why he trusted me with this information.But now it’s out there.
