Absolutely epic to see this community grow over the last year! Theres alot of talented people here now as well as alot of beginners needing help so respond to this post with 1 of 2 things: 1) If you're a total beginner or need some help, whats your biggest question or hurdle in Ai Filmmaking right now? 2) If you're a total pro whose made tons of art, videos, and films already, whats a tip you have for all the new people? Appreciate you all being here, the feed is looking awesome with your creations and the engagement you're sharing with one another. Expect some key posts to drop in the coming weeks that will help organize things further 🔥🚀

July 8th Office Hour Recap: Model Training, Budget-Friendly Workflow, Product Adverts
Hey friends just wrapped up todays Office Hour Call. You can check out the full video here: https://youtu.be/UCITY9cD4fE And here's the TLDR of what we talked about: Character Model Training vs. Reference Images - Omar shared experiences with model training, noting inconsistencies in character details and clothing - Brandon advocated for using reference images in tools like Midjourney's Omni Reference instead of model training - Omni Reference demo showed strong character consistency with a single image input - Model training for character consistency is often unnecessary; using reference images in tools like Midjourney or Flux is more efficient Budget-Friendly Workflow for AI Video Creation - Recommended stack: Midjourney ($10/mo) + Google Flow/VO3 ($20/mo) = $30/month total - This setup allows for creating 1-2 minute-long concept videos, including iterations - Google Flow (VO3) provides 1,000 credits, roughly equating to 50 eight-second video clips Product Advertisements - Combining AI-generated characters with product images can be a challenge; green screen techniques and post-processing may be needed to get the product images looking 10/10 consistent

Hormozi’s new book
Hey real quick, Alex Hormozi is doing a huge book launch August 16th. He's giving away something he's worked on for 4 years (free but only to people who show up live). Plus if we get 10+ people to register, he's giving away some free prizes we can all use. I'm going. If you wanna come with (it's virtual) Here's my link (so we can get the bonuses): https://shop.acquisition.com/pages/register?via=lucas67
Office Hour Recap Video
Hey guys, today one of you asked me to start sharing recordings of the office hour support calls so in case you missed it, heres the full video: https://youtu.be/R_a0weIV748 And a couple clips we made during call: https://youtu.be/ekwPQ7O4-iI https://youtu.be/EvaEbYU4Oew I've started doing these calls weekly and will make it a habit to upload them to YT so you guys have a free archive of real questions, knowledge, and use cases. That said, if you want the short version of todays call, heres the summary my ai note taker created for you: Key Takeaways - VO3 (Google Flow) offers the best audio-visual synchronization and character personality, but is costly - MidJourney's OmniReference feature helps maintain character consistency across images - Combining AI tools (e.g., MidJourney for images, VO3 for animation) can optimize quality and cost - Freelancing platforms like Fiverr and Upwork offer opportunities to monetize AI video creation skills Topics AI Video Creation Platforms - VO3 (Google Flow) provides superior lip-syncing and character personality - VO3 Fast mode uses fewer credits (20 vs. 100) than Quality mode - MidJourney useful for image creation and basic animation - Cling offers stop-motion-like animation with first/last frame control Character Consistency Techniques - MidJourney's OmniReference allows uploading a single character image for consistency - Creating a detailed "base character prompt" helps maintain consistency across platforms - Iterative process: generate multiple versions and select the best for further refinement Cost Management Strategies - Use VO3 Fast mode (20 credits) instead of Quality mode (100 credits) when possible - Combine cheaper tools (e.g., MidJourney for images) with VO3 for final animation - Consider freelancing to offset costs of AI tools Freelancing Opportunities - Platforms: Upwork and Fiverr for listing AI video creation services - Target audience: YouTube channels, independent creators, marketing teams - Pricing examples: $97-$595 for 1-4 minute AI music videos - Portfolio building: Use gig images and completed project videos on freelancing profiles

A Framework For Comparing AI Video Models.
I wrote this up over the weekend and I thought it might be helpful so I'm sharing it with this community! It's a way to think about how to evaluate the video models you use. Maybe you'll see a prompt here that'll get you thinking about the ways in which you can test the output. Remember, don't just be wow'd by a video model's ability to generate a scene of an astronaut landing on an alien planet! There are so many other scenes to try out.
