Hi everyone! I reached 6 month credit history on April 8th and thereby unlocked my Fico score, it was at around 650 because I had very high utilization, never missed a payment though. I applied for Amex Gold the same day but was declined, I'm assuming it's due to that, I lowered my utilization a lot by paying most of the balance off before statement date so now my CS is at around 740 - I guess that should be a good score to apply again? What do you guys think?

I was trying to get the promotion for opening a Capital One checking since I already have a cc with them but every time I get to a screen saying: we need to verify your identity, and then a follow up email with verify your identity to open your new account' however they only accept US issued gov ID's on that platform

What are the risks of using your card internationally, I see for banks like Capital One its a firm no, but what of for AMEX, just got the BCE and I'm scared of shutdown. I use Capital One strictly for U.S so no issues yet.
