Ephesians 4:22-24 “You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” this is a reminder that following Christ requires us to let go of our old ways. we can’t keep wearing the same mindset, habits, and desires while expecting to live a new life. God is renewing our minds and transforming us into who He created us to be. every day, we have to choose to take off the old and put on the new. you are not who you used to be, so don’t continue to return to what God delivered you from. live like the new creation you are.

Bible study on Galatians 1 is still very much happening! I just haven’t been able to get some time, peace, or a quiet enough environment to do it at 6am. Prayerfully that shifts in the next few weeks. even when life feels chaotic and we don’t know what’s going to happen next, God has not left us. Isaiah 7:9 reminds us that if we don’t stand firm in our faith, we won’t stand at all. so instead of allowing fear to take over, we have to trust in the Lord and remember that He is still in control. Isaiah 7:14 calls Him Immanuel, meaning “God with us.” not God with us only when life is good, but God with us in the confusion, the waiting, and the uncertainty too. the chaos may be around us, but God is right there with us. trust Him.

i’ve been sitting with Nehemiah 2–4 since last night and the Holy Spirit broke it down so clearly for me. it reminded me to keep moving toward my calling and stay strapped (with the word) during spiritual warfare. when God calls you to build something, He will also give you the favor, provision, and strategy needed to do it. but favor does not mean there won’t be opposition. trials will come, distractions will arise, and the enemy will try to discourage you, intimidate you, and convince you to stop. but like Nehemiah, we have to seek God diligently, stay focused, and refuse to come down from what He called us to do. keep one hand building and the other hand on your sword, like they did when building the wall around Jerusalem. keep on working while staying rooted in the word of God, prayed up, and ready. don’t let opposition make you abandon the assignment. if God called you to it, trust that He will strengthen you, protect you, and give you favor to finish it.

today’s message is simple: keep trusting God. what looks like it’s winning right now will not have the final say. God sees everything, and He knows how to protect, strengthen, and deliver those who belong to Him. you don’t have to fight every battle in your own strength. remain righteous, stay close to God, and trust that He will bring you through. “but the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off. but the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: He is their strength in the time of trouble. and the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.” - Psalm 37:38–40 (KJV)
