Back Stitch
I made some time yesterday and today to practice the backstitch. The solid lines this makes are super satisfying. I've been stressed as I wrap up packing to move internationally, and having this simple little ritual has quickly become a very necessary time and space where I'm able to take my mind off of all the stress for a bit. I can't wait to see how my little ritual changes after my move!

Good luck, I hope you find your new home AND new country welcoming and exciting.
Introduce yourself — tell us your First Stitch story
Pull up a chair. I want to know who you are. Drop a comment (or your own post) below with: 1. Your name and where in the world you are 2. How long you have been stitching (or if you are brand new) 3. One thing you want to make — doesn't matter how ambitious No wrong answers. I will reply to every single one, and so will this community. I will start: I am Danielle. I am in Australia. I learned embroidery from my Nana at 10 years old and I have not put the needle down since. What I want to make right now is a field of wildflowers on silk. One day. Your turn.

Hi, I'm Lourdes from México. I've been embroidering for a year or so. I find it very calming, like a meditative state, helps a lot with my anxiety and helps with my attention since I get distracted easily. I love traditional embroidery and I would love to embroidery animals and forest creatures or plants.
