For a long time, I thought I could figure everything out on my own. I thought asking for help meant weakness. I thought coaching, mentorship, or investing in personal growth could wait until “one day” when I had more money. But the truth? I was already investing. Just not into my growth. I was investing time, energy, and money into destructive habits… things that kept me distracted, stuck, and moving further away from the life I wanted. Looking back, some of those same resources could have been invested into becoming healthier, stronger, wiser, and more purposeful. And trying to do everything alone probably delayed my progress by years. What changed? I started investing in myself. Not just financially. I invested time into learning. Effort into changing my habits, mindset, and direction. Support through coaching, mentors, guidance, and people who challenged me to grow. And when I genuinely didn’t have the finances… I humbled myself. I asked people who cared about me whether they’d be willing to help support my growth. That wasn’t easy. But I learned something powerful: Sometimes asking opens doors you never expected. Sometimes people are more willing to support your growth than you realize. And that season taught me another lesson… Pride can keep us stuck. You can make progress alone… but you don’t have to. Things didn’t change overnight, but once I started investing in my own development, growth started happening faster. More clarity. More accountability. More direction. More momentum. Investing in yourself isn’t just about money. It’s about choosing growth over self-destruction. Choosing support over isolation. Choosing to believe your future is worth investing in. I wish I understood that sooner. What’s one way you’ve invested in yourself recently?
