Genesis 39:2-9
Good morning everyone, hope you all have a blessed day. I came across this scripture can anyone help me understand the meaning behind this “And the lord was with Joseph and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the lord was with him, and that the lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand. And Joseph found grace in his sight and he served him: and he made him the overseer over his house and all that he had to put into his hand. And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptians house for Joseph’s sake; and blessing of the lord was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field. And he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand ; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person and well favored. And it came to pass after these things, that his masters wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, lie with me. But he refused, and said unto his masters wife, behold, my master sitters not what is with me in the house and he hath committed all that he hath to my hands; There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back anything from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness and sin against god?”

Thanks for sharing this Jazzmyn. I love Joseph’s story from the beginning to the end. This passage is one that teaches us how to operate with integrity. It also demonstrates his relationship with God. Before we go any further, what is your take on it? Also, look up the meaning of the name Joseph, and let’s chat.
House of Prayer 🙏🏾
This space is set aside for prayer. A place where we can pause, reflect, and bring our hearts before God—individually and together. Sometimes we don’t have the words. Sometimes we have too many. Either way… we come. This is not about perfect prayers. It’s about honest ones. You’re welcome to: - Share a prayer - Sit in agreement - Or, if you’re comfortable, ask for prayer 🤍 🌟 If you’re led… Feel free to share what’s on your heart. Let us flip the script… and become a house of prayer 🙏🏾

A Thought on Prayer 🕊
Confess your faults… pray for one another… Sometimes we struggle with transparency because of fear—fear of judgment, of being misunderstood. But what if that lack of openness is limiting the healing God wants to release? Have you ever found it difficult to be open when you needed support or prayer? https://flipthescripture.com/blog/f/prayer-of-a-righteous-man

Don't Ask Your Neighbor...
When I rededicated my life to God as an adult, I decided I should probably attend Bible Study. One day, I finally mustered up the courage to go. When I walked in, one of the ministers ushered me into a room and said, “This is where you need to be.” It was called Spiritual Enrichment. I actually wanted to go to the general Bible Study class… But I stayed. When I entered, the women were in prayer—speaking in what I now know to be tongues. I grew up in the Anglican Church… I had never experienced anything like that before. So I immediately started praying: “God, please protect me…” Because I truly didn’t know what was going on, what they were saying, or who they were speaking to. (Grace for a new babe 😄) After the prayer, the lesson was so interesting that I decided to keep going back. A few weeks later, I was driving home from class—full of questions. I remember thinking: “I need to ask the teacher all of this next time…” But as I was driving, I noticed a song playing in my head. No radio. Just the same words, over and over again. Later that night, standing in my closet preparing for the next day, I said the words out loud: “Don’t ask your neighbor… come to me. Don’t be afraid.” I immediately burst into laughter. “OK, God… I hear you.” From that moment on, I started writing my questions down. And God began to teach me. Through His Word. Through messages. Through people. I would write the question… And He would lead me to the answer. 🕊So let’s flip the script… Don’t ask your neighbor—go to God.🕊 Search the Scriptures. Seek Him for yourself. That’s how relationship is built.
