I understand the attraction of using Skills... They're the 𝒉𝒐𝒕, 𝒔𝒆𝒙𝒚 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 right now.💃 (And for people like me with ADHD, that gets our attention.) HERE'S THE THING YOU NEED TO REMEMBER BEFORE YOU REPLACE AI ASSISTANTS WITH SKILLS.... Pre-built AI-assistants (like CustomGPTs and AI-chatbots) have been around for a few years and aren't new and shiny object anymore.... BUT these types of AI tools have a very powerful place in your offer ecosystem... They serve your clients and students on the frontend of your offer. 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒙𝒚. 𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝑺𝑼𝑷𝑬𝑹 𝑬𝑺𝑺𝑬𝑵𝑻𝑰𝑨𝑳. So trading them in for Claude Skills... That's where people are making a mistake. Here's THREE REASONS why Skills are not a substitute for pre-built, pretrained AI Co-Coaches and assistants like GPTs... ❌𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 #𝟭: 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗜𝗣 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲. When you create a pre-built AI-assistant trained on your frameworks, your IP is embedded IN it. It's working FOR your clients ~ guiding them through your specific process, in your voice, toward a specific process and outcome. Your clients don't see the behind-the-scenes instructions. They don't see your knowledge docs and files. They just get the user experience. When you hand someone a Claude Skill, you're handing them your entire methodology. Your proprietary frameworks. Your specific way of getting clients results is right there. In a document, they can read, copy, and share. There's not security at all. That's not a delivery upgrade. That's an IP issue. And your have zero control. ❌𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 #𝟮: 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗼 "𝗳𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁." With pre-built AI-assistants, your client opens it and starts getting support instantly. No setup. No installation. No customizing. No figuring out anything. With a Claude Skill, you're going to have to "teach" your clients how to use it: unzip, update and customize, zip it back up, where to install it (if they are even using claude), and test it out ~ all before they've gotten one result from your "easy to use" AI tool.
