Procrastination disguised as productivity can show up in your business in this way: Ideal client avatar exercises.
Procrastination disguised as productivity can show up in your business in this way: Ideal client avatar exercises. * When you are focusing on things like filling out all the details of your ideal client, what they eat for dinner, what clothing they wear, how old they are, what is their favorite color, and even how they found you, you aren't focusing on meeting people who can put you in front of more potential clients. * Once believed filling out ideal client exercises were the thing that would bring in more clients because I would have more clarity on who they are. * Instead of going to networking events and having coffee chats with real people, filled out ideal client avatar worksheets thinking about imaginary people, or thinking about that one friend who I thought needed what I sold but would never buy it. Really didn’t have any idea of who would be ready for, and benefit from my services. * Think about how you actually help people, then the right people who actually want your help will find you when you put yourself out there. Had this aha moment a while ago, but reading the post of someone who has a completely different philosophy from my reminded me of it. Knowing that there is someone out there doing ideal client exercises when they would benefit more from networking and actually talking to people has me feeling activated. * Many so called coaching programs have exercises like that in them. They really should be called marketing training, or depending on the amount of hand holding, mentor ship. * Quit filling out that ideal client worksheet and put a coffee chat with someone new on your calendar instead, knowing that this chat will help more with clarity than imaginary worksheets and fantasies about people. Regardless of how the coffee chat goes, whether you want to do a collaboration, they want to buy from you, you want to buy from them, or you want to never talk to them again, you have more clarity.

Aha moment from a recent networking event I hosted on impostor syndrome
When I had deeper conversations with men and women at a recent networking event I hosted, I realized men can also get impostor syndrome. * Impostor syndrome can effect anyone. Talking about it made me realize I wasn’t alone in struggling with it. Some of the techniques people talked about to overcome it were things I already used that helped me. Also learned this is a thing that can come back as you level up. * Past me thought that maybe somehow being a woman was the sole reason for feeling like an impostor, that somehow men were conditioned to always be able to overcome it instantly. And while there are certainly environmental causes of it, using the excuse of being of women for not being successful was not helping me. * Part of stretching yourself sometimes is feeling like an impostor. Having it be re-framed, as not a bad thing and a sign that you are growing was a new mindset for me, something one of the men in that group had learned from his coach, and shared with us. * Impostor syndrome doesn’t have to hold you back from taking action. Others have challenges too, even if they are different from yours. This allows you to find tools that help you overcome impostor syndrome so that you can keep taking aligned action without thoughts of impostor syndrome holding you back. * Want to go to more networking events like that where you meet people outside of your circles, it isn’t just small talk, and you come away with new aligned connections? * Join https://www.facebook.com/groups/networkingoutsideyourcircles check out the events tab regularly, and put the events on your calendar that interest you.

@Rex Loyer impostor syndrome was a major block for me. I felt I wasn't good enough, and it was keeping me from putting out my offers or believing anyone would get results from them, and on the surface level, as I look at it now it seems ridiculous, but there I was trapped in that negative mindset hole. What I talk about in that post is just one of the things I learned that helped me overcome impostor syndrome. I plan to go into more detail in future posts.
ADHD brain? Same. Built a $30k/mo business anyway.

How to find people who can afford your offers
Many people think that if you want to find people who can afford your offers, you should just find and target groups of wealthy people. * While this isn’t entirely incorrect, what many people miss is that having money to afford your offer not the main or only qualification for purchasing from you. * People who have a lot of money are everywhere, they are looking for the right thing to spend it on. Forget about rich people stereotypes, there is no one thing that people spend a lot of money on. * Unless, and even if you are doing things to actively repel people with a lot of money, growing your audience, and your reach also attracts people who have money to afford your offers, just because more eyes on your offer, means more people looking at it, some of who can afford it. * Furthermore, once you find the people who can afford it, they can introduce you to more people who can afford it. That is how networking works.
