For builders who don’t want success to destroy their relationship
Most people here are building businesses, communities, and new opportunities. But there’s one thing I’ve watched quietly undermine a lot of otherwise successful people: Their relationship. Stress, time pressure, miscommunication, feeling unsupported… it sneaks in while life gets busy. I run a community where we focus on the other side of success — building a supportive, low-friction relationship that actually makes everything else in life easier. Inside we talk about: • simple connection rituals • navigating ambition as a couple • keeping respect and attraction alive while life gets busy • cooking and shared experiences as connection tools It’s designed for people building big lives who don’t want their relationship to quietly fall apart in the background. If that resonates, you’re welcome to join us here: The Relationship Chef

Have it all Part 1 of 3: Can you have it all with being depleted?
How do you know when what you’re doing is "sacrificing" versus "investing"? Sacrifice happens when giving and you abandon who you are and what matters to you. Investing is when you face discomfort because there's a future benefit. Sacrifice can lead to burnout, ugh, but it's an unnecessary wake up call because when you learn how to put in the time and effort necessary without trading the best version of you, you don't burn out. Have you ever experienced burnout? (This is from a 3 part series in my community)

I have lived most of my life in burnout. I am striving every day to end that
Anyone else have a community mascot?
I posted this in Skooler but thought I'd bring the conversation over here too. 😊 When I started my community, I didn’t plan to have a community mascot… but somehow Mr. Mullet Tortoise showed up and now he’s kind of doing important work around here 😂🐢 At first he was just for fun.A playful way to describe how I actually build things. But even in the short amount of time he’s been our mascot, I’ve realized he’s helping the people in this space in ways I didn’t fully expect. Mr. Mullet Tortoise is basically a reminder that growth doesn’t have to be loud, rushed, or exhausting to work. Business up front. Party in the back. Slow, steady, intentional progress with room to be human and enjoy the process. There’s a quote I love by André De Shields that says: “Slowly is the fastest way to get to where you want to be.” And that pretty much sums up what Mr. Mullet Tortoise represents here. What I’m noticing is that having him as part of the culture makes things feel safer. Safer to move slower. Safer to not have everything figured out. Safer to try things, experiment, and still have fun while building. Instead of feeling like rocket ship mode has to be the default all the time, there’s this shared understanding of: “Oh, I’m just in tortoise mode right now. And that’s okay.” Because when you’re consistently slow and steady, that’s usually what creates the moments of rocket ship results. It also gives people language. They don’t have to explain their whole business situation. They can just say: “I need more tortoise energy this month.” or “That launch was very mullet energy.” And everyone gets it. That shared language matters more than people realize. What I’ve realized is that Mr. Mullet Tortoise has become less of a mascot and more of a culture cue. 👉 Build real systems 👉 Move at a sustainable pace 👉 Leave room for fun, personality, and play So no, he’s not my community mascot just to be cute (though he is 🐢). He’s a symbol of building a business differently.

Rules for 2026
2026 doesn’t need to be the year of hustle. It can be the year you finally get consistent, even if life is busy, noisy, or unpredictable. This is the checklist I’m following (and teaching!) inside Cultivating Awesome, because let’s be real: A sustainable digital business? Has to fit inside your real life. Here’s what those “rules” actually look like in action: ✅ Write your goal daily — you’re 42% more likely to achieve it. It keeps the mission clear ✅ Two tomatoes (pomodoros) a day — 25 minutes to stay consistent, 25 to batch. That’s it. ✅ Stick with one offer — clarity = momentum. More offers = more chaos. ✅ Build your list — email gives you control that social can’t. ✅ Don’t build alone — co-working, check-ins, and accountability change everything. ✅ Start messy. Stay steady. — because perfection is the enemy of progress. If you're craving support, structure, and a space to actually do the thing this year, the doors to Cultivating Awesome are still open for founding members (and yep, it’s still free 💸). Let 2026 be the year you keep going. 🍅
