Building a new life
I'm grateful to have reached a point in my recovery where I'm healthy enough to start over! Overcoming adversity has become the story of my life. I feel like I can finally explore my new beginning. I have always loved the outdoors and feel the need to return to activities I can enjoy in them! Hiking is where I'm starting. I began training last week and am pretty embarrassed, even a bit discouraged about the problems I encountered. Pain is the worst issue, but my physical ability is a close second. I'm starting my second week with a renewed focus that I hope will lead me to balance and improvement! I want to encourage anyone who is searching for happiness to keep going! Even with my discouragement, hope remains visible to me! Perception is everything, and determination is hard, but it has yet to fail me. I look forward to a new week with renewed focus and joy.

I'm trying to go high protein low carb. I believe i have insulin resistance. I like to use protein powder to help get more protein.

My journey really kicked in when I was hit by a car as a pedestrian. Surgery, blood thinners and being immoble for 3 months took a toll. My body had inflammation that crippled me getting back on my feet with the activity level I was use to. The knowledge and wisdom I find here has been very helpful. I like the Friday product list and the variety of information that is available.
