Building a Skool community is like running a Marathon!
Sharing my Skoolers post here because we are ALL building here too! I started running in 2012 to lose baby weight, but it quickly became something much deeper, a growth journey. I had to become a completely different person to achieve the goals I wanted. To go the distance, to endure, to keep showing up. Along the way, I left behind friends, relationships, workplaces, beliefs, mindsetsโ€ฆ you name it. When I started my Skool community, it was to make an impact, to connect, to build something meaningful. But in the process, I realized I was also building myself. Because if you truly want to lead, thereโ€™s a level of inner work no one really warns you about. Iโ€™ve had access to proven formulas, courses, support. Iโ€™ve hired people and invested money to build this. But just like with a marathon: NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE, can run this race for me. I can have everything lined up, but if I donโ€™t show up, I donโ€™t move forward. It requires me to BE to keep going when Iโ€™m running for hours alone to keep posting when no one comments or shares to be my own cheerleader. Not expecting praise, recognition, or validation but doing it for me. For the person Iโ€™m becoming. And honestlyโ€ฆ it can feel so lonely sometimes. People, even family donโ€™t always understand. They call me crazy. They tell me to play it safe, to drop the race, to not push too hard, to just focus on the 9โ€“5. Those are their fears but I feel them too. Because building something on your own means carrying a lot: The long hours creating content that feels unseen (even though thatโ€™s not the full truth), clients who stay private and donโ€™t share their wins ,being a single mom, supporting parents with Alzheimerโ€™sโ€ฆ Itโ€™s a LOT. But hereโ€™s what Iโ€™ve realized: I need to level up again. And thatโ€™s exactly what I do in marathons. I donโ€™t quit. I level up. Because I know the reward goes far beyond the finish line. So if youโ€™re here feeling discouraged or hopeless, thereโ€™s no shortcut. You have to put in the sweat, the tears, the work, the reps no one wants to do (myself included). Itโ€™s not easy and itโ€™s not supposed to be. If it were, it wouldnโ€™t be this meaningful or life-changing.

Is Mayorhood or Mayorship?
Either way, I want to share my jouney to become Skool Mayor of St. Augustine, Florida. So here is my WHY and HOW: ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธWHY?--->because i love being part of communities that create unification and togetherness. Ever since I was a teenager, I envsioned myself as a community connector. I did workstays on organic farms in Central Americal, volunteered at Rainbow gathering, sat in ceremonies with idigenous tribes, jouneyed to music festivals and lived on intentional communities all over the GLOBE๐ŸŒ WHY ST. AUGUSTINE?๐Ÿค” Although i grew up one hour away in Jacksonville, as a child, the mysteries were always know to be hidden in the oldest city in America, St. Augustine. I feel like St. Augustine truly resonates at the frequency of Skool, being know for the Fountain of Youth, Ripley's Believe It or Not Muesem, haunted houses and quirky cobblestone streets. Its the perfect place to explore the Inner Child! HOW? I have been tasked by @Rositsa Aleksandrova to connect with other Florida mayors @Mark Eldridge and @Lorena Millan to host an IRL Skool meetup in St. Augustine. I found a venue that vibrates at a similar frequency to Skool called Sarbez!, which is an eclectic and quirky restaurant with an acrade, shuffle board, and the best Grill Cheese sandwiches in the world! We are planning for a FREE โš”๏ธ *May the 4th *STAR WARS*โš”๏ธ themed event with sevral Skooler sharing thier secert sauce with the community, and tons of family friendly gameing, shuffel board, and pinball FUN! BTW< I think Mayorhood is the way to go!!
