The Divination Academy just got a little easier to explore.
I’ve been doing some behind-the-scenes rearranging, and I’m excited to finally open up a better way for free members to see what the Academy is actually all about. There’s now a Start Here section to help you find your way around, along with a free demo of the classroom so you can peek inside the kinds of lessons, topics, and resources available throughout the full Divination Academy. I’ve also started opening up select lessons and resources completely free, so you can actually learn something, practice with it, and get a feel for how I teach before deciding whether Premium is right for you. You’ll see some areas that are previews of what’s available in the full Academy, along with lessons you can jump into right now. Also, apparently I’ve had the community set to private this entire time. Whoops. 😂 I’ve officially opened the Divination Academy up publicly too, so it should be much easier to look around, get a feel for what we do here, and decide whether you want to come hang out with us. And you’re always welcome to hang out here, ask questions, share your readings, talk cards, and learn alongside everyone else. You do not have to be a Premium member to be part of the community. If you decide you want to open all the doors, Premium is available for $9/month or $90/year, and there’s also a $299 lifetime option if subscriptions aren’t your thing. But for now? Go explore. 🔮 Start with the Start Here page, poke around the demo, try something new, and see where your curiosity takes you.

How to Use Tarot for Personal Growth and Transformation
Tarot cards have long been used as a tool for divination, but they also hold significant potential for personal growth and transformation. By tapping into the symbolic language of the Tarot, you can gain deeper insights into your life, uncover hidden aspects of yourself, and navigate your journey with greater clarity and purpose. Here’s how you can use Tarot for personal development and self-improvement. At its core, Tarot is a mirror reflecting your inner world. Each card represents archetypal energies and themes that resonate with the human experience. When used thoughtfully, Tarot can help you explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, providing a structured way to reflect on your life's journey. 1. Self-Awareness - Daily Draw: Pull one card each day and meditate on its meaning. Consider how the card’s message relates to your current state of mind, emotions, and experiences. - Journal: Keep a Tarot journal to record your daily draws, thoughts, and reflections. Over time, you’ll notice patterns and gain deeper insights into your inner workings. 2. Goal Setting - Clarify Intentions: Use Tarot spreads to clarify your goals and intentions. For example, a simple three-card spread (past, present, future) can help you understand where you’ve been, where you are, and where you’re heading. - Action Plan: Pull cards to identify steps you can take towards achieving your goals. Each card can provide guidance on actions to take, obstacles to overcome, and resources to utilize. 3. Emotional Healing - Shadow Work: Explore your shadow self using Tarot. Cards like The Moon, The Devil, and the Ten of Swords can guide you through difficult emotions and unresolved issues. - Healing Spreads: Create spreads focused on healing specific aspects of your life. For example, a spread for emotional healing might include positions for identifying the root cause of pain, understanding its impact, and discovering ways to heal. 4. Intuitive Reading - Connect with Intuition: Rather than relying solely on traditional meanings, allow your intuition to guide you. Look at the imagery, colors, and symbols on the cards and notice what feelings or thoughts they evoke. - Open-Ended Questions: Ask open-ended questions that encourage self-reflection, such as “What do I need to know about my current situation?” or “How can I best approach this challenge?”

The Kind of Love I Thought I Wanted vs the Love I Actually Needed
Sometimes healing changes your standards. Not all at once. Not in one grand, cinematic moment where you suddenly wake up and know exactly what you deserve. Sometimes it happens slowly, painfully, through every unanswered text, every over-explained excuse, every night you spend reading the same tarot spread over and over again, hoping the cards will finally say what you want them to say. For a long time, I thought love meant being chosen. I thought love was about the return. The apology. The realization. The moment when someone who hurt you finally understood your worth and came back changed. I thought love was the person who left suddenly appearing again, full of regret, ready to become everything I had once begged them to be. But healing has a way of changing the question. At first, the question is usually, “Will they come back?” Anyone who has read tarot for themselves or for others knows that question well. It is one of the most human questions there is. When someone leaves, pulls away, ghosts, cheats, avoids, or simply stops showing up the way they once did, the heart scrambles for certainty. We want to know if the story is over. We want to know if there is still a hidden chapter. We want to know if the silence is temporary or final. So we ask the cards. Will they come back? Do they miss me? Are they thinking about me? Is there still a chance? And sometimes, because grief is stubborn, we keep asking in different ways. We shuffle again. We clarify the clarification. We pull one more card. We look for the smallest sign that maybe the Tower was not really the Tower, that maybe the Ten of Swords was just dramatic, that maybe the Eight of Cups does not mean someone has walked away. But tarot is not here to help us negotiate with what is already hurting us. Tarot is not here to keep us trapped in a fantasy where someone else’s potential matters more than our peace. Tarot is not here to tell us how long we should wait at the door of a relationship that already taught us how cold the hallway can be.

Repeating Cards in Tarot: When the Deck Keeps Tapping the Same Spot
One of the most common questions tarot readers ask, especially once they start reading regularly, is: “Why do I keep pulling the same card?” Maybe you shuffle well. Maybe you cut the deck. Maybe you ask different questions on different days. And still, there it is again: The Tower. The Lovers. The Eight of Swords. The Queen of Pentacles. The Devil. That one card that starts to feel less like a message and more like a person standing in your doorway with their arms crossed. In tarot, repeating cards can feel magical, annoying, comforting, alarming, or all of the above. They can make us wonder if the deck is trying to warn us, guide us, call us out, or confirm something we already know but haven’t been ready to face. The short answer is this: repeating cards usually point to repeating energy, repeating lessons, repeating choices, or repeating patterns. A tarot card is not just a fortune-cookie message. It is a symbol. It holds a world of meaning, and when the same symbol keeps appearing, it often means there is something about that archetype that is still active in your life. It may be something you are working through. It may be something you are avoiding. It may be something you are growing into. It may be something that keeps asking for your attention because you have not fully integrated it yet. That does not mean you need to panic. It does not mean you are doomed. It does not mean the universe is yelling at you. Tarot is a mirror, not a cage. Repeating cards are one of the ways that mirror reflects a pattern back to you. What Are Repeating Cards? Repeating cards are exactly what they sound like: cards that show up again and again across multiple readings. This can happen in a few different ways. You might pull the same card several days in a row as your daily card. You might ask about different situations and still receive the same card. You might notice that a certain card appears whenever you ask about a specific person, relationship, job, fear, or decision. You might not pull the exact same card every time, but you may notice the same suit, number, court card, or theme appearing repeatedly.
