Change to the Planned Together programme
I created the Your Business Book: Planned Together programme for coaches and experts with a book in them. I got feedback - and I listened. I'm moving the Your Business Book: Planned Together programme over to the Skool platform. Community, course, lives, videos, all in one place. I have spaces available for the August cohort starting Monday 3rd August. Four weeks of mindset, structure, planning, writing and shaping your new thought leadership or personal development book, ready to write with ongoing support. More info and how to get a space on the programme here: www.writeyourbusinessbook.com/planned-together Already signed up to the programme? You'll receive an email from me very soon inviting you into the programme community.

I've been invited to speak at the Step Into Your Next Level Virtual Summit, running August 4-6, and I would love for you to be there. My session is called 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘆. It's 20 minutes, pre-recorded, and you can watch it anytime during the summit window. Here's what I cover: most women oscillate between two exhausting extremes in sales conversations, the pleaser who shrinks and over-gives, and the pusher who forces and chases. In this session I show you exactly what's driving that dynamic and give you practical tools to find the calm center so your sales conversations feel confident and natural instead of draining. The summit is completely free and the lineup is genuinely impressive. I'm sharing the stage with speakers like Tim Adam on Pin to Profit, Michelle Schmaderer on building a brand that can't be ignored, Jen Stillion on camera confidence, and Joe Defilippo on automating your Skool community while you sleep, among many others. Plus every speaker has contributed a free resource to the BackStage Freebie Vault, including me. You'll be able to grab a free assessment I created specifically for this event. Save your free seat here: Reserve My Spot → And if this sounds like something the women in your world would love, I would be so grateful if you shared the link. The more the merrier.

@Rachel Harmsworth me too! 🥳
Live sessions - best dates and times?
I've been running the live Q&A/Chat sessions every other Thursday at 2 different times, the onboarding sessions every other Monday, and the co-writing sessions on Saturdays at 2 different times, but very few people have been able to make it to any of the sessions. So, I'd love to hear from you: Which type of session(s) would you like to attend? (It could be any of the above, or something I haven't thought of yet); What days of the week are you most likely to attend; And what time of day (and tell me your time zone)? I want to craft the community around you, our members - so any suggestions for any of the above or for anything else you'd love to see in here are really appreciated! Rachel

Time for an argument
A lot of business book writers sit down to write their book with a topic. "I'm writing a book about leadership." Or confidence. Or sales. That's not enough to carry 50,000 words. What you need is an argument. A topic tells people what your book is about. An argument tells them what you believe, and why you're right. Here's the test. Finish this sentence: "Most people think ___, but actually ___." If you can't fill that in, you have a topic, not an argument. And a topic will leave you staring at a blank page, because there's nothing to defend, nothing to build a case for, nothing that needs 15 chapters to prove. Your argument is the spine of every chapter. It's what turns a collection of your thoughts into a book someone can't put down, because they're following your case from beginning to end. Drop your "Most people think ___, but actually ___" in the comments. I'd love to see what you've got.

@Rachel Harmsworth you say that but I don't have what it takes to be pushy and loud.
