Meta-Skill #3 is ”Applied Creativity” and READY in the classroom
Feeling stuck in routines that drain your energy? You don’t need a new job. You might just need a creative spark. Applied creativity isn’t about painting or poetry — it’s about thinking differently in real life. It helps you solve problems, regain motivation, and show up with clarity in work and in life. Whether you're leading a team, building a career that fits who you are, or just trying to stay sane in a world that moves too fast — this guide is for you. 🎨 Start here in the classroom with #3: a practical, research-backed approach to making creativity work for you — even if you think you lost your spark. And let's have a conversation in the comments about a very practical / applied creativity type: improvisation theatre and how it can help in both the personal and professional side of life? If you have tried it, would you care to share? :) PS: I will join in and share my story with improv soon, too.

After bingeing 8 seasons of Whose Line is it Anyway and knowing myself as a funny guy, I went to study in the UK and thought: how hard is it to do improv? 🤷‍♂️ So I joined the Improv Society at university, and I soon discovered that I was wrong and right at the same time! After swallowing my fear of taking the stage and the risk of being considered a geek who does improve (mind you that I've studied mechanical engineering, so that shouldn't have been a problem), I leaned into it and found that I could manage pretty well. The best thing that came out of it is that I increased my spontaneity while at the same time forcing myself to make better and faster decisions. In improv, you have to scroll through countless lines that come to your mind and hit the right one, or else you're off the stage. However, doing improv not in your native language is way more difficult than I expected. Not sure if I would do better in Romanian, though. PS: I've watched the seasons from the 90s that you can find on your YouTube, but the new ones are pretty good as well

@Armina Sirbu I feel that counter-arguments more often than not put the other person in defense mode. You can immediately see on their face that the other person is feeling attacked and is ready to go down the counter-argument rabbit hole. When, however, you go into asking questions, especially open-ended questions, the conversation shifts into truly listening to each other, being considerate and more importantly, calming the discussion down!

@Madalina Ungureanu I second that. It worked for me not only with some relatives but also with anybody who is 101% forever attached to their hard views
Invite your friends while is free + news
We had our second bimonthly coffee talk on Saturday and we were very few. I had some conversations with some of you and reached some conclusions which I will leave here from memory: 1. This is a learning community yet, I am the only one posting - well the good news is that you can post, too and feel free to share your clarity & journey in the discussion board :) 2. We discussed that the best for now and the near future, is to keep this community bilingual - and all the resources I will create, for each meta-skill, will be in both Romanian and English 3. There are 3 ways you can take advantage of what I offer and what we build here together: ☕ Level 1: As a "member" of this community, you can enjoy the free meta-skills modules as they are posted, and thus structure your learning journey around them (this week by the way, the "critical thinking" module will be ready, on Thursday latest) while they last, by the end of the year. Share this community to your friends and friends of friends while it's still free. For the first 200 members it will remain free as long as possible, at least until the end of this year. You can use your own link from the "invite" button and once we switch to the paid model, you will receive an affiliate percentage of your invitees fees if they decide to stay / join / subscribe. ☕☕ Level 2: Join the "founders" of this community and contribute to it through posts, community engagement and events / workshops / presentations based on your interests and experience. And once we close the gates for the free membership, these will be paid and therefore each of the founders will have the opportunity to monetize their knowledge. The affiliate link works for all members, founders too. Please approach me or leave a comment if you want to become a founder. ☕☕☕ Level 3: Join the "start-upers" of this community. For those of you who are interested in Skool and the whole concept of growing into an educational creator, trainer or coach, online, and making your own community, or offer learning-related services on or off Skool and would like to deliver a workshop / training / presentation / hold a coffee talk, but without taking all the risks and also much faster, you can do it here. Just leave a comment or write me a message.

Plans for July and August and what's next
Hello everyone and welcome to the new members :) I hope you are enjoying the resources I posted around here and will take advantage of the summer to learn something new or train some meta-skills muscles ;) ⚠️As you might have seen I posted recently the resource on applied creativity and before the end of July I will upload the next meta-skill material. 👀I have no feedback whatsoever from you here publicly, only in private messages, even though the stats say that half of the members have opened the skool app in the last week. Some (any type) of feedback would help. About the content and the context or environment. Because...I am switching this community to a different type that makes it easier to sustain financially for me. Which means the community URL will change. The community remains here and I am slowing down for the summer 🦀 - with 1 meta-skill material per month - but in autumn we speed up again so we get to cover all 15 meta-skills until Christmas.🎉 Now this has a good side: you have more time to catch up until September on watching, reading, listening and reflecting on the materials that are already here. 🤩 From September to December not only we will go through all the rest of the 10 meta-skills, but we will keep adding content here and I am hoping to get some of you involved in sharing your knowledge, skills and expertise around here. I know many of the members of this community and I know how much value you can bring to the table and since this is not a newspaper, which you only pick for reading and wiping your windows with, or to light up your BBQ, it's a community 😉, we will be having live online events once autumn comes and we are more indoors and tuned in for learning, not melted by the summer sun. So how are you planning to catch up on upskilling in the meantime?

@Andra Bindea I'm also curious how the allocated time for the exploration worked for you this month, especially on taking on this commitment in your daily routine, and if maybe a part of of it will transform in a long-term habit 🤔
