🚀 Business Lab Spotlight: We Want to Get to Know YOUR Business!
We're switching things up a little inside Business Lab! Instead of just talking about business, we want to get to know the amazing people and businesses behind this community. 🥰 What are you building? What's working? What's been challenging? And what are you excited about right now? We're inviting business owners and entrepreneurs to join us during our Thursday Business Lab sessions to share their stories, spotlight what they do, exchange ideas, and explore opportunities to collaborate. No fancy presentation needed. Just real people having real conversations about business. 🎥 And here's something we're working on: Turning these business spotlights into short video highlights you can use to help showcase yourself and your business! Want to be featured? Grab a quick 10-minute introductory call so we can get to know you and discuss how it works. 📅 https://calendar.app.google/aKXnpHjivjqG1Pmt8 Or let's start right here! 👇 Tell us, what business are you building or growing, and what's one thing you're excited about working on right now? Let's get to know who's in the room and start making some meaningful connections! ❤️

@Jordanna Shean YAY indeed! 😂💙 See you in there — I'll be the one with the missed-call recovery war stories. One thing I've learned the hard way: the systems that survive contact with real clients are the boring ones that just work, not the clever ones. What's the one thing you'd tell a new member to set up first? 💙

@Kevin Thompson Thanks Kevin — appreciate the nudge! I build AI lead-handling systems for service businesses: missed-call recovery, lead qualification, and follow-up that turns enquiries into booked appointments. The piece I'm most focused on right now is the handoff — letting AI handle the first pass and handing to a human the moment it matters. What's the synergy you're seeing on your side?

@Jordanna Shean @Jordanna Shean ‘just because we CAN doesn’t mean we SHOULD’ is exactly the principle most automation content skips — it doesn’t make as good a headline as the ROI numbers. But the moments I’ve over-automated have taught me more than the wins did: a lead who felt like they were talking to a wall, a follow-up that fired when it shouldn’t have, a system that technically worked but eroded the trust that should have closed the deal. Those are the real education. Business Lab sounds like exactly the kind of room where honest conversations about what actually works — and what breaks — can happen. That’s rare. Really glad to be here.

@Jordanna Shean Thank you! 💙 That's exactly the part I care about too — a system can be technically flawless and still leave the customer feeling handled by a machine. The way I try to keep that human is to make sure every automation has an exit: the moment a real person replies or asks something off-script, it hands over to a human instead of pushing the next scheduled message. What's the one thing you check before you'd call a system 'customer-safe'?
Week 8 is tonight…
This one feels a little full-circle. 🔥 For the last eight weeks, we’ve been building this automation series together inside Business Lab. We tested tools. Broke things. Fixed things. Asked better questions. Figured out what was actually useful and what was just extra noise. And somewhere along the way, this stopped feeling like “just a Zoom series.” It started feeling like something we could turn into a real course for business owners who want to understand automation without being handed another tool and told, “good luck.” Tonight we’re wrapping the series by talking about what worked, what didn’t, what we learned, and what we want to build next. And I really want your input. If we turn this into a course, what would make it genuinely useful for YOU? What would you want explained better, simplified, added, or shown with real examples? Tonight is not just the end of Week 8. It’s where we decide what comes next. ❤️🔥

8 weeks of testing, breaking, and fixing tools is worth more than 80 hours of reading about them. That ‘useful vs. extra noise’ filter only comes from actually running the workflows and seeing what holds up. If this turns into a course, business owners who want to understand automation without the overwhelm are going to get real value from someone who went through the messy part first.

@Jordanna Shean YES! 😂💙 That's exactly it — the messy lessons are the ones people actually remember. On the lead side, the biggest one I learned the hard way was that a follow-up sequence without a stop condition keeps firing after the human already took over, which makes the whole thing feel robotic. Adding one simple 'stop the moment they reply' check fixed more than any rewrite of the copy. What's the biggest 'broke it and learned' moment you've had building systems? 💙
Bring Us the Real Business
Last night’s jam session reminded us what makes Business Lab valuable. It is not just the topic on the calendar. It is what happens when people bring real questions into the room, start connecting the dots, and help each other see something they were too close to see alone. Over the next few Thursday sessions, we want to spend more time getting inside the businesses of the people in this community. We want to understand what you do, what is already working, where things keep getting stuck, what you have tried, and what would actually make a difference right now. This is not about putting someone on the spot or pretending we can fix an entire business in one call. It is about slowing down long enough to understand the real problem before throwing another tool, service, or piece of generic advice at it. Sometimes the next move might be a clearer process, a better message, a stronger handoff, the right resource, a useful connection, or a system that takes something off the owner’s shoulders. We will not know until we look under the hood and have the honest conversation first. That is the kind of Thursday we want to bring to life: real businesses, real bottlenecks, practical conversation, and a room full of people willing to share what they know. Nobody needs to arrive polished. Bring the part that feels messy. If we opened up your business during an upcoming Thursday jam session, what would you want the room to help you think through?

New here and this is exactly what drew me in. Most communities focus on the polished version of business — wins, case studies, highlight reels. The messy middle is where the real learning lives. Questions like “why isn’t this converting?” or “is this actually worth automating?” — those are the ones that move things forward. Really looking forward to the Thursday sessions.
How YOU level up on the Skool platform!
Hey everyone! If you are wondering how do you level up and unlock all of the content (if content is lock)? Points: You earn points when other members like your posts or comments. 1 like = 1 point. This encourages users to produce quality content and interact with other members in their community. Levels: As you gain points, you level up. Your level is shown at the bottom right of your avatar. The number of points required to get to the next level is shown under your avatar on your profile page. Level 1 - 0 points Level 2 - 5 points Level 3 - 20 points Level 4 - 65 points Level 5 - 155 points Level 6 - 515 points Level 7 - 2,015 points Level 8 - 8,015 points Level 9 - 33,015 points If you go to you're profile you will be able to see your level and how many points you have. There is also a heatmap that shows how much activity you have done for a specific day. Sometimes those that lead the Skool group you are in can set rewards that unlock based on how much you participate. For example, 10 activities for 30 days in a row to access exclusive content. So now that you know how the system works, be sure to like each other's posts and comments!

This is gold! The key insight for me: it’s not just any engagement — it’s engagement that earns a like back. The comments that help someone think differently, answer their real question, or give them something actionable tend to compound the fastest. Quality over volume is the real shortcut here.
