We had a coffee chat yesterday and she gave me some great insight into what was making my left hand feel stilted as soon as I played hands together - turns out the sustain pedal actually sustains the notes - who knew 😆 Our chat got me motivated again and I practiced a couple short times yesterday and today - so much better although I finally recognized something else that was contributing to my issue…. I was actually pushing the pedal ALL the way to the floor and this meant it wasn’t working the way it was supposed to! Two little tips that have made all the difference!! Still want to practice a bit more before I post an update video with some expression added for those two sections but really grateful that you noticed I got quiet and took the time to set me back on the right path @Rositsa Aleksandrova! Thank you!

Sometimes meeting family can be stressful— I know it is for me — be it a lack of understanding or a difference in generations or lifestyles - you name it, we have it w my family. Love them very much but from a distance - I literally live in the other side of earth. When I am in Bulgaria, I play piano most of the time and it is mostly to keep the peace in the household and to close myself in my joyful blissful musical mermaid bubble.
