Just because someone posts something confidently doesn’t mean it’s true. I’ve seen a few things floating around lately about Skool that people are taking as fact, getting upset about, and then repeating to other people without actually knowing if the information is accurate. And that’s how fake news spreads. Before you change something in your community, get mad about how something works, or start teaching it to someone else, make sure you actually have the right information. I was just sent the craziest rumor yet about Google taking a percentage of payments that is just completely fake news. It made me go “what the helly?” so much that I decided tomorrow on The Skool Morning Show we’re clearing up fake news. Eric won't be here tomorrow, so just me answering and clearing anything up. So what have you heard? Drop it below or ask live on the show. Growth Boost? Affiliates? Payments? Attribution? Something else about how Skool works? Ask me anything you’ve heard that you’re not sure is actually true. If I know the answer, I’ll give it to you. If I don’t, I’ll tell you I don’t know. I really loved this video because I think this is something a lot of us need to hear, especially when you spend so much of your time building a business and community you genuinely enjoy being part of. Stepping away can be hard. Sometimes it isn’t even because you feel like everything will fall apart without you. You just actually like what you do and the people you get to spend your days with. But I loved what he said about the difference between what you want and what you need. Sometimes getting away from your normal routine gives you the chance to realize how much you actually love the life you’ve created. You notice what you miss, what you’re thankful for, and maybe even some things you want to do differently when you get back. I think we all need moments that remind us how much we have to be grateful for currently, even when we aren’t exactly where we want to be yet. There was also something really interesting happening with his communities while he was gone. Normally they get around 3 to 5 new trial members a day while actively promoting, but while he was on the Camino and doing significantly less, there were days they got around 15 new members. That doesn’t mean stepping away magically grows your community or that will happen for everyone... But it is a pretty cool reminder that sometimes the work you’ve already done keeps working even when you aren’t sitting there actively pushing it forward every day. If you’re an entrepreneur who has a hard time taking a break from your business, I think this is worth watching. Maybe it's not a full 10 days. Maybe it starts with 1 day a week being just for you. We missed you on Skool, @Calvin Hollywood! Thank you for sharing this real video and reminding everyone that it's okay and they have permission to step away for a bit. Keeping your flame through all that walking is some commitment 😅
