Patience will reveal the purpose of Ifa’s advice, have faith
I just want to share my story about how surrendering and following advice from Ifa sometimes may be difficult and feel counter intuitive, but will eventually reveal its purpose. My mother has a horrible, rare, atypical form of Parkinson’s disease which causes dementia and loss of muscular control that leads to “locked in syndrome”. My stepfather cares for her. He had a major health issue that resulted in his hospitalization. I live across the country and flew out immediately to care for my mother. My stepfather’s sister also showed up because she lived in the same state as they do. For the next 3 months I was there caring for them both, but his sister constantly undermined me and battled me for control. This woman doesn’t like my mother and hadn’t spoken to her in 15 years. Ifa told me to go home, I had to have a Panaldo. I was so confused….that was my mother!! Wasn’t I the person that should care for them? My son was in online school and my husband and I had decided my son could come live with me at my mom’s while I cared for them. Ifa said “NO!”. I was devastated about the situation for eight months…and then I saw an article about the town my mother lives in. Her street is the epicenter of an epidemiological cancer cluster study due to chemical waste!! Ifa saved my son from that exposure. Mafarefun Orunmila!!!

@Baba Victor I ain’t gonna lie, that was eight months of tears, confusion, anger…shaking my fist at the sky. I gave up caring for my own mother (!!!), my inheritance (of the house her father bought for her), basically all of my lifelong expectations for this situation. But Ifa knew and I am grateful. My mom’s house was actually described in a news article along with my stepfather’s cancer.

And I have to add, the woman who ran me out because she wanted to control everything- who I was so furious with- allowed me and my son to not have long term exposure and is still helping my mother and stepfather. Now I am grateful for her as well.
Yams
I haven't been able to find any fresh yams in my area. So in the stores I could only find powered yams.Is there a alternative for the cleansing with 2 yams? Thank you.

Hi Tiffany! I noticed it says on your profile you’re a Texas gal. If you’re in DFW area there’s a market in North Dallas that has them - Mama Jones African Market.
Frequency
How can you vibe in a higher frequency when everything around you is causing you to remain in a lower frequency?

Good Morning ☀️ In my opinion you’ve just asked the question that’s the central challenge of our human existence - to bring the good condition to earth in spite of what may be going on around you. As someone who is currently actively working to rebalance myself in similar circumstances I can share what is helpful to me. First, you can only control yourself. Meaning you can’t necessarily change the behaviors and attitudes of those around you, but you can strive not to react to them or to internalize the negativity directed at you. Remember - cool heads prevail! For me the first (and most difficult) step is not to react out of fear, anger, etc. but to take a moment and just breathe. I’ve found that mentally canceling the negative statements aimed at me by others (or my own mind) and replacing them with positive thoughts is an important and empowering act. I also find that taking spiritual baths to strip negative energy and restore/refresh myself help me to center myself. Also saying positive affirmations while working with Ori. You can do this! You are a beautiful human being walking towards your highest destiny! Remember that you are never truly alone - your ancestors, your Ori, your spirit guides, and the Orisha are always there beside you and want you to succeed and be happy! I think this is a very important question and would love to hear the advice that Baba Victor and Iya Afefe have on this.
