Stitch of the Day
Yep, changing up little things! Do you remember what the first thing you ever sewed was? I truly cannot. I remember doing a lot of kids crafting kits and I know I had a few that were hand sewing but the details of it, I cannot remember!

@Suzanne Krasnow That’s funny! I was exposed to sewing a lot earlier, so actually be able to sew for the first time was very profound for me. That’s the only reason why I remember as it was in the 80s.

@Suzanne Krasnow ah the pillow. I remember those with the outlines, preprinted from Joanne’s. Mom would make us one every year.
Question of the day!
Let's face it, us crafty people rarely have just one craft medium! What others do you enjoy? I love junk journaling and mixed media. I rarely make time for mixed media these days, only because of the mess it leaves and then I have to clean it up before I get back to sewing.

I love sewing period! All sewing mostly. But I have been known to try other things like refurbishing old bookshelves and making soup and baking and attempting new cooking styles. I live paper and thing junk journaling is something ai would like to try. I also have painted in the past and love to color even at my age(55). I’ve learned crafting comes in all variations and I love that. I long for the time when the kids are old enough to be a little more independent and I have more time. I just know I’ll miss this time as they are just 6,5 and 3. I’m not in here much but just my season to be mom first.
Under Construction
You may have already noticed a few changes happening around the community today. I’ve been making some upgrades and improvements based on what I’ve learned running this group over the past 6 months. A few more updates are coming over the next day or so as I finish reorganizing things. One exciting change is that members will now have the opportunity to earn affiliate commissions for sharing the community, which is something I’ve been wanting to add. Once everything is finished, I’ll post a quick video explaining the updates and how everything works. Thanks for being part of the community while I keep making it better! – Sue 🧵

You do a wonderful job at this and I am glad to be here. While my time is limited due to kids, I hope to find time to for myself to explore more.
Question of the day!
I am definitely more towards the advanced, but not in all things. Sewing clothes- beginner Random useful things - more advanced. There are so many areas of sewing that its very common to be a beginner in one area and have varying levels of intermediate and advanced in others.

To be honest, I’m not exactly a beginner. But I would consider myself almost intermediate only because uts been a while.
