The suggestion (snidely proffered by Muriel, that beasel!) that orange wasn't her best color was completely absurd! What, should everyone flounce around in a maroon dressing gown at noon as she does? Did she think ALL of Trembling Hills Retirement Villa was an extension of her boudoir? (The rumors among the other residents would certainly say she did.) But Gladys was made of sterner stuff than Muriel OR her slinky dressing gown, and would not be dissuaded! "No," she thought, tucking a bottle of olive oil into her pack for good measure. First, thank you! The Silmarillion was never intended to be read though, was it? I thought I heard that it was only published after his death because he'd never planned to use it as more than a reference. That said, I could be wrong about that. And no, I'm not giving up. Just a little tired. The 30 day challenge chums up my anxiety something fierce. But since you mention it, maybe, if I part out the rewrites into bite sized pieces, I might make better time. Hmm...
