I think I did it backwards. 😂🤣 But then again… **how was I supposed to know what was backwards or forwards when I had literally just started?** 👀 I entered the **online business world first.** Then later came **digital marketing.** And NOW I look back and go: “Ohhhh. Okay. That explains a lot.” 😂 Because when I first got into the online business space, I noticed so many people seemed to already have a *thing*. Someone had been doing something for 10 years. Someone had 20 or 30 years of experience in their field. Someone had a career, profession, expertise, business, or skill they were bringing online. And I was kind of sitting there like… 👁️👄👁️ “What exactly am I bringing here?” 😂 Then I discovered more of the digital marketing world. And it felt different. There were people in their 20s. Stay-at-home moms. People changing careers. People who were 17, 30, 40, 50+… And a lot of them weren’t starting with: “I have been an expert in this field for 25 years.” They were **learning a skill.** And suddenly something I read YEARS ago started making sense. I once got an ebook about online business. I genuinely cannot remember what most of that ebook said anymore. 😂 But ONE sentence somehow stayed stuck in my brain: **Learn one high-income skill.** That phrase has been sitting somewhere in the back of my mind for so long. And recently I finally had this little: **AHHHHH.** moment. For me… maybe that skill became **digital marketing.** Not because I’ve mastered it. Definitely not because I think I know everything about it. 😂 I’m still learning. Still testing. Still figuring out what works and what doesn’t. But now I finally understand what that phrase meant. Your “thing” doesn’t always have to be something you walked into the online world already knowing. Sometimes your business journey is where you **find the skill.** And maybe the funny part is… you don’t even realize it’s becoming your skill while you’re learning it. You only notice when you look backward. 👀
