Weekend Check-In June 28,2026
Hi there, everyone. We're closing out the week, so let's look back. On Monday, a lot of you named one small habit and anchored it to something you already do. So here's the only question that matters today: how did it go? And to be clear, there's no wrong answer. Maybe it stuck every single day. Maybe it happened twice and then life got loud. Both are completely normal. The goal was never perfection, rather, it's that you noticed, you tried, and you can pick it right back up tomorrow. That's how habits actually form: not in a straight line, but by coming back to them. Three quick reflections if you're up for it: - What did you anchor, and how many days did it actually happen? - How did it feel on the days it did? - What's one small tweak you'd make for next week? Drop your thoughts below. Reading how it went for everyone else is half the fun — and honestly half the glue that keeps us all coming back. I'll go first. 👇 Mine was a 20–30 minute walk or bike ride (Physical Dimension) right after lunch, anchored to finishing my meal. Honest report: it happened 3 days days, missed a couple when the afternoon ran away from me, but even those days, just noticing I'd skipped it made me more likely to get out the next day. The bike rides became less about exercise and more about clearing my head and reflection (emotional dimension) about the difference this can make as I get better and more consistent with this habit. Tweak for next week: laying my shoes by the door so there's zero friction. What about you?

Mine is/was walking to get the mail around 2:45 and then going around the block or 2 blocks to get a little more exercise. It didn't happen last week because the temp was in the 100's and walking to the mailbox wore me out! 😅
Weekend Check-In — One Good Thing
Happy Saturday, everyone. Mondays here are for looking ahead. I want the weekend one to be for looking back, gently. No pressure, no big report. So here's the only question: what's one good thing from your week? It can be small. A walk you took. A call with an old friend. A quiet morning with your coffee. Something you read that stuck with you. Across the eight dimensions, progress almost never looks like a transformation. It looks like one small, real thing. I'll go first: I have had 3 meetings this week with people who gave me feedback about ChangeEight and the Evidence Brief explaining ChangeEight was started because of the feedback for those meet ups. Check out the free resources including the Brief in the Resources and Tools Classroom. Share your 'small thing' below, even just a few words. Honestly, reading these is one of my favorite parts of the week.

A new friend invited husband and me out to eat with her and her husband. We had a great time spending two hours talking and eating.
Monday Morning Check-In — Week of June 16
Good morning, everyone. I'm going to start doing a short check-in here every Monday morning, and I want it to be more conversation than announcement. So here's the first one. One of the things I hear most from people in this transition is that Monday used to mean something. There was a rhythm to it. Now it can feel like just another day, which sounds freeing until it doesn't. So this week I want to ask a simple question: What is one thing you are actually looking forward to this week? It doesn't have to be big. A walk. A project. A lunch. A phone call you've been putting off. Whatever it is, drop it below. I'll go first: I'm looking forward to a conversation Tuesday with someone doing really interesting work in the wellness space. Still early, but the kind of connection that reminds you why building something new is worth it. Your turn.

I’m looking forward to leading my granddaughter‘s pre-K group through vacation Bible school tonight, even though it’s exhausting and going to singing tomorrow night.
