I'm currently making the components for Celestial, an online class by Jean Power. I love Jean's projects. They are often challenging but always great fun.
17 weeks and about 60 hours later I finally finished my carousel box! Pattern is by Beadingnbeyond on Etsy. You need to be very comfortable with peyote, I had to extrapolate a couple of times in the pattern cause it wasn’t real clear, But it’s a beautiful piece! The opening at the top (with the purple rim) is meant for a tea light
Has anyone else worked with a 3D pattern from threadabead? I am having issues with the instructions. I am sincerely glad this isn’t the first peyote project I have attempted or I would have given up! It is nothing as clear or accurate as Linda’s or the other patterns I have gotten.
I have done several of their 3D patterns. In most cases I have not had a problem, but I did have issues with a couple where I had to adapt the pattern to get the right result. I haven't contacted them though.
Hi Linda, My new box and my amazing mug just arrived. Wow, it was much bigger than I expected, love it. I'm just finishing some beadwork for my local show in 2 weeks. A bracelet by Jean Power and xmas ornament by Threadabead.
Just updating the previous photo of the xmas sweater now that it's finished. All the items for the show were handed in this morning. I made the sweater ornament a knitter's version. I also entered a Jean Power pendant.
Here's today's recording showing how to bead up the cabochon. And... The winner of today's drawing is @Julie Lewis she receives VIP status for the next year! Answer today's question - How long have you been beading to be eligible for tomorrow's drawing.
I can't even remember when I started with beads, I've always been drawn to the amazing colours. I started with simple jewellery like most people but soon progressed on. My preference now is 3D beading, particularly boxes.
