Mary Magdalene, A Biography Sacred Book Circle
Hi Sacred Book Circlers - MM, A Biography, Last week we discussed through Chapter 4 - for this coming week we will attempt to discuss Chapters 5 The Nameless Anointer, 6 The Name is as Oil Poured Forth and 7 Transfiguration at the Tomb - and we shall see where the questions take us. As always the most important element of our circle is you! Not caught up on the reading - please join us - your voice is welcome in circle. As promised from our last discussion - a few questions to ponder, or use as journal prompts: Jesus honored both feminine and masculine dimensions of the Divine. How does this perspective influence your understanding of God, spiritual leadership, and human dignity? Mary’s contributions were largely unrecognized for centuries. How does her story challenge us to value the voices and gifts of people whose contributions may be overlooked or forgotten in our faith communities? See you in circle!

Mary Magdalene, A Biography Sacred Book Circle
Hello - thank you all for joining. What a great conversation as we start this new book. As discussed we will read chapters 3-5 for this week and see where we land with our chapter questions. As promised a few journal prompts to reflect upon: Jesus saw Mary not as her condition but as a person worthy of dignity and restoration. How might our communities become more reflective of that same welcome toward people who feel excluded or misunderstood? Chilton suggests that Mary became one of Jesus' closest followers because she experienced profound acceptance. How has acceptance—or the lack of it—shaped your own spiritual journey?
