Make it available for autonomous weapons. Surveillance. No guardrails, no questions. They said no. The government called that a national security risk. A federal appeals court backed the Pentagon yesterday. Another court in California sided with Anthropic. It's messy. It's unresolved. The full case goes to hearing in May. But here's why I'm bringing this to the M.U.S.E. community specifically — We are building with these tools every day. Our art, our brands, our client work, our coaching programs. And most of us never stop to ask — who built this thing, and what do they believe? Think about it like this. When I'm braiding a design or weaving a concept together — the integrity of the foundation determines everything that gets built on top of it. You can't fake a strong base. Anthropic just showed us their foundation under pressure. They took a billion-dollar hit to stand on it. That's not nothing. I'm not saying they're perfect. I'm not saying the government is entirely wrong. What I AM saying is — as creatives who use AI as a core tool, this conversation belongs to us too. We should be paying attention.
