I have MTHFR, thermolabile type c.665C>T (aka: C677T) heterogeneous and COMT c.472G>A and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Classical Type. My current homocysteine levels are 11, ESR is 7, B12 is 173, folate 25, ferritin 348. I had an iron infusion about mid last year as it was very low. Honestly I’ve felt on edge ever since and now my levels are extremely high. I am at home recovering from ALIF surgery on my L4/5 after a workplace injury. Surgery was on January however I am still quite swollen. I have also acquired synovitis in the joints of my feet and toes due to my changed gait. I am inflamed and miserable. I am incredibly conscious with my food and I eat a well balanced plant based diet with a minimum of 30 different kinds of plants per week. I have removed all fortified folate from my diet. There is a strong history of alzheimers and heart disease in my family. I have been telling my doctors that I feel brain fog is getting worse and am now at the point where I feel like I don’t retain new information well despite being previously well educated with 2 degrees. In addition to this my watch keeps telling me that my heart rate is spiking and my hrv drops as low as 31 overnight. I am really hoping you can help. What supplements should I take and in what order? I am committed to my health however my GP is no help whatsoever and looks to be in worse health than I am! It is very difficult to find medical professionals to help. Most don’t seem to take this seriously.

Hi there Kerryn can you tell me if the test for MTHFR is a blood test? Did your GP organise it and did they give you any grief over the request? thanks
