I have found myself becoming very passionate in fish-keeping and aquascaping, and want to be able to share what I know with others and help connect beginner and experienced aquarists. The aquarium hobby unfortunately has a lot of misinformation or outdated information that can perpetuate harmful facts, which I hope to help reduce! What can you expect of this community? - A place to ask about different types of fish and invertebrates to discover their care requirements. - A way to get inspiration for tank layouts and stocking combinations. - A tutorial on how to get into the hobby, and set up your own tanks! The future of this community may see different routes, with potential expansion into terrariums, paludariums, vivariums, and so on! As long as research can be done, people and animals can be helped! It all depends on what you as a community want to see, but the start of this community will be tailored towards beginner aquarists setting up their first tank, and delving into the care of the more common hobby fish. I want to encourage people to post pictures of their tanks, whether they want to show off what they've done or ask for help from the community. But I'll start off with one of my tanks. Its maintenance is minimal, needing only a 20% water change a month, with live plants that filter it for me, so the water is stable enough to not even need testing. In here there's a Betta, Endler's Guppies, Green Neon Tetras, Bumblebee Horn Nerite Snails, Otocinculus Catfish, and Neocaridina Shrimp, all of which I will make specific guides for!

Naturally, I want to start advertising this community and help it grow, but I don't feel that I should be trying to grow much before having my courses set up. I do, however, want to prove my activity and help welcome anyone who stumbles across my page even if I have nothing yet. So I would just like to say that a set-up course is officially in the works! It will be a guide to all the necessary parameters you will need to know for setting up your first tank, and include a step-by-step tutorial based on real, proven experiences. Making these courses does take effort, so I plan to make this community a freemium community, where anyone can buy a specific course for a one-time price, get the basics as part of the first tier, and get everything in a final tier including all the different fish-specific guides. While I'm figuring out prices, feel free to let me know an idea of what you would spend on fish-specific courses versus the basics!

If you're interested in anything specific just let me know and I'll do my best to set it up. My plan for a first course, however, is to do a step-by-step guide on setting up your first tank, regardless of size or stock, and going through the basics from understanding requirements for whatever fish you will get to filters, heaters, and the nitrogen cycle. Essentially, this will be a course on everything a beginner should get to know! It will be based on my personal fish-keeping experience as well as research and secondary sources (some of which are my inspirations for this.) I aim to have this course up tomorrow. Thank you!
