Calling all Glamping Trainers, Content Creators, experienced operators
Hello, We’re building something new and genuinely useful for the glamping sector: Glamping Gurus, a dedicated space for operators, makers, trainers, and innovators to share practical knowledge, raise standards, and support the people who keep this industry moving. As part of this, we’re inviting a small group of respected content creators, trainers, and educators to contribute lessons, resources, and expertise. The aim is simple: to create the most helpful, honest, and sector‑savvy learning hub in outdoor hospitality. If you produce training, guides, walkthroughs, templates, or specialist insight in any of the following areas, we’d love to talk: - Site setup, design, and infrastructure - Operations, systems, and guest experience - Marketing, branding, and storytelling - Compliance, legislation, and best practice - Sustainability, craftsmanship, and innovation - Staff wellbeing, boundaries, and ethical business models - Why get involved? - Visibility within a growing, engaged community of operators - Collaboration with other respected voices in the sector - Impact, helping shape a more professional, fair, and future‑ready industry - A platform that values quality, honesty, and practical expertise - If this sounds like something you’d like to be part of, I’d love to connect and explore how your work could feature within the Glamping Gurus classroom. Let’s build something that genuinely moves the sector forward.

Thanks James — really appreciate you setting this up. It’s refreshing to be in a space that’s clearly about doing glamping properly, not just talking about it. The tone, boundaries and emphasis on standards already make it feel different (in a good way). I’m right at the start of my own journey, so I’m especially looking forward to seeing more from the Classroom side of things. Anything around site setup, design, and infrastructure would be hugely valuable at this stage — particularly the practical, experience-led stuff that helps avoid costly mistakes early on. Glad to be here and looking forward to learning (and contributing where I can) as things develop.
Introducing me and PMC
Hi everyone I’m Lew, based in Kent. I’m a co-founder of Pink Moon Collective, a chef-led gastro-glamping project in its early phases. My background is in Publishing (having recently left that industry after 22 years), and my partner is an executive chef. We’re working towards a small, low-impact pilot site, most likely operating under an exemption licence, with food at the centre of the guest experience. Right now, we’re in active conversations with a couple of potential land partners (including a regenerative farm and Forestry England) and are being deliberately phased in how we approach build, funding and permissions. The main challenge I’m facing at the moment is site selection and structure: balancing landowner expectations, exemption-licence constraints, infrastructure costs, and a model that’s commercially viable without over-engineering the first season. I’m here to learn from people who’ve done this properly, avoid expensive mistakes, and share anything useful from our side as we go. Good to be here.

Hi Katie, welcome to the group 👋 Thanks for sharing your background — Skylark’s work is of real interest to us. I’m Lew, co-founder of Pink Moon Collective, a chef-led gastro-glamping project based in Kent. We’re currently in the early development phase, exploring land partnerships and progressing conversations with Bank Farm and Forestry England, with the intention of launching a small, seasonal pilot under an exemption licence. We’re being deliberately phased and are starting to explore funding routes that could support the pilot build-out as things firm up. Asset finance and structured lending are very much on our radar at this stage. I’ve reached out to you directly over email to introduce ourselves properly and to see whether it might be useful to connect. Best,Lew
